Bracelet question! I have been making bracelets for a long time and I want to sell them but I worry about ‘stealing’ peoples patterns. What are your thoughts?
In my opinion, if you can find the pattern for free on BraceletBook or a similar site, then it's free to use! However, if you pay for a pattern (for example, on Etsy or Ravelry) then I'd consider checking with the creator to see how they feel about selling your finished creation. By the way, I think the same thing applies to crochet patterns/finished products! Happy selling :)
People who are really helpful (Answering lots of questions in the forum etc.) or people who are popular (Like well-known youtubers in the community) will often be selevted. Im pretty sure at the moment they arent looking for any new moderators.
The knots we use to make bracelets are not perfectly square, but instead a little rectangular -- they are ever so slightly taller than they are wide. This results in the pattern, designed with square pixels, to look a little stretched out when we actually knot it. Hopefully that makes sense!
Sorry about that. I always feel anxious filming in public spaces because I don't want others to get in the shot, or feel awkward asking me what's going on. Hopefully you were still able to get a general idea of how to set up your booth!
