The Craft Fair Booth Review Series continues with Episode 23, featuring The Wood Gnome, based in England. Andy is a woodworker creating his artwork by hand with a scroll saw. Relatively new to craft fairs, Andy has been participating in events for 18 months in the Suffolk County area.
In this episode, I provide tips & tricks based off of the typical setup for The Wood Gnome booth, which is made up of two 6' tables at an indoor location.

Nice display! I know exactly what you are talking about when a vendor has two kind of disparate types of products - like your jewelry and candles example. My business is mostly goat's milk products - soap and lotion but our farm also grows wheat, rye and corn and we sell flours and cornmeal. Very different products. At the farmers market, I have a U shape and give one leg to the flour and grain products with a big sign to catch attention to them. The soap and lotions have smaller signs but the scent draws the people in and just the volume of the display. When I am indoors at holiday shows I sometimes don't even take the flour products but do display a sign "ask me about our flour and grain products". It's tough to find the balance.

Yeah it’s so tricky, but I really like your method of at least posting the sign that says “ask me about ___” that way, you’re at least showcasing that you offer that, but it’s not going to interrupt the flow of the booth and its items. Great comment Debby!
