Have been looking on line for two years to find out how to fix this annoying problem. Just took a few minutes after watching the video and problem gone. Thanks so much.
I was skeptical, but this worked perfectly on my ancient apartment blinds! I just snipped the knot at the bottom of the cords, pulled one through the bar as he showed, and then reknotted the ends and replaced the cap. They work better than ever. Wish I found this earlier!
Thank you for this most insightful wisdom, my blind cords now work perfectly. I am truly thankful for your Venetian cords advice, without it, it would have been curtains for me ... 🤓 👍🏻 Awesome.
Just started to research new blinds because this was driving me mad. Thanks to your clear quick instructions, the blinds work better than ever & I avoided unnecessary spending. 🙏
The pull cords on my blinds are 2 over and 2 under. One of the over cords came loose and is stuck inside the casing. Do you have any advise on how to fix this?
I tried this and it didn't work in my case. I found that the bottom cord is flattened and there is no way of remedying the situation without replacing the cord. Placing both cords closer together only made the slippage worse, as the good cord prevented the grip wheel from catching the flat cord.
What happens when the lock encasing is not accessible - it's only a small rectangle from the front of the blind? Take down the blind and feed the string through the top, I guess? Thanks for the videos. Helpful!
Right on, right on, right on!! Like the other commnentor stated, I was about to buy a new blind but you saved me a few $$ Working like new Thanks much!
Thank you. My blinds had a more enclosed mechanism so feeding the cord straight through was not happening. I was able to get the cord through with the help of a hook tool to pull it down and out.
Oh, my goodness, THANK YOU! This issue on one of our blinds has been stressing me out for almost three years and nothing else (i.e., coating the string with rosin, etc.) worked. But this took me just a few minutes, and the blind is now fixed!
