Im a Venezuelan here in Florida where Ive grown up my whole life (I’m 24 years old). The parallels between Maduros rhetoric and the so called “democrats” here is so clear that it is truly chilling. They say beautiful things about wanting to help marginalized people but they are full of hate and resentment and they thirst for power. They don’t really want to help anyone they just want to experiment with their philosophy and if the ship goes down- all of us will be brought down with it

You see, when the U.S. imposes sanctions, if other countries choose not to follow them, they, too, become subject to sanctions. This is why you see "blocks" of countries that cooperate with each other. Basically, there's block 1, which is NATO and allies (U.S. most of Europe, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Philippines, South Korea, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and several other Middle Eastern countries plus a few more odds and ends) and block 2 (China, Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, and a few others... Basically, all the countries the U.S. has sanctioned XD). And of course, there are regional powers that do their own thing, like India or Brazil, and there are embattled regions caught up in the larger superpowers' struggle for dominance, AKA Africa. But yeah, if you're subject to U.S. sanctions, it's half the planet and all the rich countries refusing to do business with you.
