Or make everything have strong shields and hull but leave the weapons untouched. I remember an episode of voyager where the dialog said that voyager and the aliens exchanged fire for about 10 minutes before the fight ended. I imagine neither side inflicted major damage on the other
@@AdmiralStilesSciFiGaming Voyager's crew and the aliens were both probably doing their best to dodge incoming fire: I find it hard to believe they'd both just tank fire for 10 minutes and accomplish nothing at all. Honestly, watching the Vengeance here I was thinking back to TOS, where a full power phaser shot just _vaporized_ an unshielded Klingon battlecruiser (it happened in 'Day of the Dove.') Photon torpedoes also had a truly ridiculous blast radius: we actually see the Enterprise fly through it's own torpedo blasts once. Also, the torpedo that tore off Reliant's warp nacelle in _The Wrath of Khan_ was on minimum power - you can see Chekov actually _lowering_ the yield before he's ordered to fire. Early TNG was just as crazy: they blasted kilometer sized holes in the first Borg Cube we ever saw, and evaporated an asteroid field with just 4 torpedoes. Sometime during TNG and the movie series the writers started cutting down on how powerful the weapons were.

I would love to do that, but unfortunately, the game engine can not handle that much pulse weapon action. 2 or 3 Battlestars shooting all of their weapons are usually close to causing a game crash for me.

Absolutely ridiculously and completely imbalanced. The Vengeance is 100 years older in technology. No way it should have won any of these fights against Akira or Defiant
I agree to a point, even if the vengeance uses supped up salvaged tech from the Narada, an Akira led Battle group would still be more than a match for it as this same battle group took on 3 warbirds on voyager and held their own
