Una interpretació brillant, engrescadora, genial! La sincronització violí-piano perfecta! Gràcies Màxim. per aquesta publicació. Encara recordo el teu recital al Palau de la Música Catalana.
Omigosh, even better the second time around. What a performance! The first time, I have to admit to being distracted by the Maestro’s attire and forgot to listen. Now I’ve listened, and he is surely the greatest violinist we have in the world. AND he is a good, kind, generous person.
I love how you don't strive to give a "perfect" performance. You just close your eyes and lets it rip. Sounds like you're sontanteously improvising, as if you're discovering the music for the first time in a fit of inspiration. The music feels fresh and full of steam. Bow strings will be broken. What a joy to watch. This is what classical music should sound like. THANK YOU. ❤️
"sontanteously improving" - ? I am sure you want to say "spontaneously improvising". To me that Kreutzer by Vengerow and the fantastic Polina has been a unique experience, kind of newly discovered work by LvB.
PS ... and since I am always a bit curious about the instruments being played I had to consult Wikipedia finding out that Maxim Vengerov currently (and since 1998) plays on the 'Kreutzer'- Stradivarius of 1727 - what a perfect match!
@@hansjuergenkohlhaas871 Violins are fairies, witches. They live and go through many partners, each of their soulmates dying. They are traumatised, wise and tired, and when they meet a oige master who can excite them, they turn into angels.
Great performance. When the accompanist is as impressive as the violinist, the dynamic really changes. Sometimes it felt like the violinist was accompanying the pianist which works for Beethoven.
What an inspiring performer-duo! I love the Kreutzer Sonata (surely God Level!) and this rendition is absolutely amazing! Thanks Maesteos Polina and Maxim!
I've heard the Kreutzer from lots of duos and this pianist is the best one. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of her playing. Her artistry is heavenly. She's a Russian, I believe.
Dear Maxim, Some 30 years after « prinsengracht » and the Versailles evening among others, the joy of listening live to your music making makes me extremely happy to say the least Monday at the salle gaveau. Your admirer as ever. Didier DB
The "Kreutzer" sonata performed on a Strad violin once owned and played by Kreutzer himself...! Quite a magical experience, especially for those who got to attend this concert in person!
Kreutzer never played this piece. He hated Beethoven's music. Beethoven dedicated this Sonata to George Bridgetower, the mulatto violinist who premiered it reading from Beethoven's shoulder before the work was published.
@@manymany5076 I didn't know that, as I am not a big "fan" of Kreutzer as a violinist, and also the history of this piece was not taught to us in university. It is however being played on (in this video) by a Strad that was once owned by Kreutzer. Strange?
I also just realised that I never commented that this piece was played by Kreutzer, rather that it is being played in this video on a Strad once owned by Kreutzer. That was my point.
@@liamnevilleviolist1809 Sure. You should get a refund from whatever University you went to. Lost of Academics institutions are failures. Yours seems to have attended on of them, as per your comment. Glad you are open to discover new "True" knowledge, and never take for granted what your teachers tell you. They have been mis informed.
Ero presente al concerto. Bellissimo. Grazie del regalo, perché per me lo è, dato che mi sarebbe piaciuto moltissimo avere la registrazione ma non sapevo come trovarla. 🙏
is my favourite the master beethoven is because of this i am musician since of my age of eigth years old i have fifty and i play what i want but only classical music.
You always "force" me (I love it) to discover a new interpretation of whatever you play. Your Kreutzer is no exception. I know that I will experience a new emotion and I look forward to every performance.
I just discovered you by seeing there is a new performance for this sonata (one of my favorites) I used to play it on the piano in high school. Now I'm planning to learn it on the violin when I'll get better
what a heavenly pleasure to hear/enjoy these two outstanding musicians together. May I ask if you, Mr Vengerov, still play the Stradivari "Kreutzer"? ( so this must have been a double pleasure, also for the violin ;-))
It is a violin made by Annibale Fagnola as it will be demonstrated very soon in a new scientific study in cryptology about the 1716 Messiah Stradivari... It will be published in a few months
@@marcvilleneuve1889 Somewhere I had read that the "Messiah" Stradivarius had actually been built by J. B. Vuilleaume. Mr. Vengerow's Fagniola sounds marvellous (via my AKG headphones), he brings out a wide range of tonal qualities and for sure is very well supported by the Anschlagskultur of Polina his excellent collaborteur.
@@IvanGreindl Merci pour la faute d'orthographe je vais la corriger. Quant à cette vidéo elle est éminement politique car on a affaire à deux Russes, un expatrier habitant Monaco et l'autre habitant la Russie. I never got Tolstoy’s story about the passion this piece could supposedly bring out; thought it was kind of silly. But gosh! This is pretty damn passionate!!!😮 (Still not convinced a couple of armatures playing in the parlor could pull this off!🫣
The violinist from Tolstoy's novel was a professional musician while as for 'the wife' character who was palying a piano part of the piece... well, Tolstoy's wife used to perform Kreutzer Sonata as well (a piano; not a professional musician). It has being said that Tolstoy's deeply fascination with this piece was inspired by her renditions. As for the novel itself, the notion of passion in the context of drama content and Tolstoy's inspiration to express all of it through symbolism of Kreutzer Sonata is a complex topic which include the socio-psychological circumastances considering the historical moment, place and the novel's main character ('the husband' - narrator) including the knowledge of Tolstoy's own life. Sorry, no pretentiousness intented, I just like that novel and find its analysis very interesting 😊 ps. This rendition of Kreutzer Sonata is profoundly sublime and find it intriguing in the best possible way. Bravi, maestri ❤
