The start of a new vlog series! In this series I travel to Europe with my partner Ted. We will spend four days in Venice, Italy, four days in London, UK and then I will spend six days in Oxford on my own for work. Some of the vlogs may be day by day, whereas others will be combined days.
**I'd like to note that my vlogs are NOT intended to be informational videos, but rather capture a snippet of my trip. If you are looking for informational vlogs on traveling to and from Europe, extensive reviews of hotels, restaurants or tours, or anything else, I would not recommend my video! This is simply for entertainment purposes and for my own memory of my trip :) **
In this vlog we arrive in Venice! It's been a dream destination for me to visit, so I was so happy to arrive here for the first time. There is a six hour time difference for where I live in PA to Italy. The first day was quite tough with the jet lag, and honestly it took us a few days to adjust. We took public transportation to the hotel, the Hotel Ca'Alvise. As the hotel is along a small canal, you can take a private water taxi to the hotel, but it costs about 150 euro. Where as we paid half the price through public transport. It's much easier than you'd expect it to be, so I would recommend! As Venice is a walking city, you will have to walk through a few streets to the hotel from the Vaporetto though.
We had a few hours between arriving and when we could get into our room, so we walked around the city and ate some pizza. I didn't film this as we were tired and hangry, lol, but the pizza was great! Later that night we ate at VinoVino, which I say is the best pasta on the trip but also I was tired and hangry when we had dinner too, lol. So I think that influences my thoughts on the pasta. Later that night we wandered into Piazza San Marco, and had had a drink at a local bar before heading to bed for real.
