Hey, I really appreciate that. Venice Part 4 is uploading right now. Things have been busy lately and I haven't been able to work on my videos as much but I have several more to post up and a lot of summer travel plans. Thanks for the support! I hope you enjoy all the future walks.
I am loving these walks. We know Venice very well and it is great to be able to recognize places that are familiar to us. It would be interesting if you could add a small map in the corner showing your progress. Agree - no added background music is wonderful.
We have done similar walks and your videos communicate exactly the atmosphere we experienced. Your videos are extremely well filmed and edited: natural sound is much better than music or talks; the information provided in short texts is really informative and sufficient. Thank you for your videos. We are going back to Venice next week and your various videos are enabling us to have a first glimpse of what we will see in the parts of the cities that we don't know yet. I hope you will have the opportunity to produce walks videos in other pedestrian cities such as London, Stockholm, Amsterdam, and also in Asia such as Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Seoul, etc.
Really enjoyed the video, appreciate no background music and overlay text with useful facts. Excellent and steady video quality. Keep up the great work.
Hey, thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the format of this video. I have many more walks planned and several that I'm about to post. Thanks for watching! Oh...and I'm thinking I might go to Venice this weekend to film some carnival scenes. Might depend on the weather though.
Yeah, it has been fun. Venice and the surrounding islands are a Drone Free Zone...which I didn't know until a guy told me if I got caught flying then I would get fined and they'd take my drone...so..I figured it probably wasn't worth it. I've been flying it quite a bit. I started another channel recently called Proflights...just for fun. I have a couple drone videos up there. Good luck with your videos!
You may love Venice or not, but the indisputable fact is Venice is a unique and only city on the planet, with its incredible history and architecture. Many thanks to the author for his dedicated work.
Hey, you're welcome. Glad you enjoyed the video. I think Venice is a great city. My parents are visiting soon and the plan is to go see Venice for one of the days.
I wouldn't care what resolution you filmed it, or even if the camera was upside down... Venezia and Veneto had been a second home to me for at least 25 of my 40 years in Europe. I spend my days currently in Manhattan, but now and then I pull up the videos for a refresher. Thanks.
Now i can appreciate the tour. When we went to Venice a lot of tourist anywhere, i did not enjoy that much as I enjoyed your walking tours. What camera did you used ? Thanks
A charming way to revisit a lovely place - too bad you used a 'fish-eye' lens - your camera work is let down by the linear distortion this lens propagates.
I have a new Venice walk coming out soon. I am hoping this weekend, but I still have to write the captions and finish a few more details...so it might not be until next week. :(
Another great walk. I find your videos very relaxing and informative. Thanks for taking the time to share your walks . Our plan was to explore Europe but due to my wife's illness we can't get away but we look forward to your great videos. Thanks from Belleville Ontario Canada!
Hi Cathleen, There is no narrative with the videos but there are captions and titles. I try to remove myself as much as possible from the walk so it feels more like you are walking through the city.
Hi Veronica, Thanks! I'm just filming with a Gopro Hero 7 and editing with Adobe Premiere. I know there are better cameras but I've been pretty happy with my setup so far.
You have created the best walking tour videos that I have ever seen. Quite a good camera man and obviously excellent camera equipment. Thank you. I enjoyed them immensely because it was almost like being there and in fact I have been there so I know the experience of visiting Venice .
Love St. Mark's Basilica & orange tower with blue green roof matches color of Adriatic just reinforces for people to get that strong presence of orange looks good with glimpse of sea. Lol Roman architecture is really amazing for love of long lasting color.
Cameras and videos may well not used inside the Basilica of San Marco but that never stopped people using mobile phones to take photos when I was there 2 years ago. No one seemed to be around inside to control it. No point having a regulation if it’s not going to be regulated. It’s unfair on those who respect the regulation
A very famous Venetian proverb goes "Mi son Venexian e caco in acqua", which translates "I am Venetian and I shit in the water".www.quora.com/How-do-the-sewers-work-in-Venice
