Congrats on your first deer. Don't sweat the production quality, it's good. It's about the story with this sort of thing and the story is worth watching.
Thank you so much for not glossing over the gutting. Lots of vids/blogs don't shown that part, but it is so very important. Not how I do that part, but its nice to see a different approach that also works. Keep then great vidoes coming! And don't forget to grab the bag ;)
I have been an executive chef for over 25 years and although I know how to prepare all these dishes and butcher meat I absolutely love watching your videos!!! You are very entertaining and damn it I always end up eating late night after watching..... The food network should give you your own show🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
THIS is awesome! This is what I like watching! The hunt is usually left out. You either get just the hunt. Or just the processing. Few do both in the same video.
I live in Tennessee in the States. It’s cool to see how different the bush is there compared to here. Also, what caliber do you use for those little deer?
"Here hare here" ... I LOVE that movie! Excellent hunting video - nothing better than hunting for eating ... and that breakfast liver must have tasted AMAZING! Very professionally hunted, filmed and produced.
Cradley? Absolutely awesome video. Loved it! I can't wait for my husband to take me out to get my first deer. Can see us watching this video a few times it really is good. Love from Much Cowarne x
Congrats Scott on your first deer. I'm 51 y/o and took my first whitetail this past November right off our own property in southern Ohio. It's a very proud moment, that. I processed it myself in my garage using the methods you demonstrate in your venison butchery videos. Thanks so much for your quality productions. Cheers to many more.
Mate that’s a proper video and I am happy to see it. I just harvested 2 whitetails in the last 2 weeks and I’ve hunted, hanged, aged, quartered, butchered, and packed the meat in the freezer. I am employing your fine butchering techniques in my second one. Good show!
You did great Scott. Everybody seems to be an expert on RU-vid. England is a lush wooded country. Reminds me of North East Oklahoma here in the states where I live.
Awesome job Scott! Every time I watch your videos I'm reminded how awesome the internet and, specifically, RU-vid can be for creative content. Please, keep up the good work.
I love this video, so many people don't understand where food comes from. Those little guys look fun to hunt, but if you ever end up in Minnesota during deer season, I'll take you out after a whitetail
That liver on toast with mushrooms, made my mouth water, which isn’t usual with all your cooking videos, delicious! Love your videos Scott 👍 From the time I write this comment, I’m deer hunting tomorrow and I’m going to have a crack at that liver dish for breakfast!
First deer I ever shot, I had the stock in my arm pit and not resting on my shoulder. When I shot, the scope hit me right in the eye and it was bloodshot for over a week!
To Mr. Rea and Coops, we to have a very small introduced species from Japan, called Sika deer. They run the marshes on the eastern shore of Maryland. However, even people who live here are ignorant of their existence. Amazing eating, some of the best venison ever. Sorry if there were rude comments from us colonials.
Dear Scott, Our family was just in the UK on holiday and had the pleasure of dining at St. James Bread & Wine in Spitalfields Market. Wonderful! In addition to duck hearts and beef kidney we were completely delighted by a salted duck leg soup. I had never heard of salted duck leg. We were told that they had salted the leg overnight and poached it with some veg. Amazing. Have you had any experience with salting duck or poultry? Any insight would be appreciated! My family and I absolutely love your videos and my 7-year old daughter especially relishes the time-lapse bits where you eat the delicious dishes you prepare! Thank you for taking the time to make this exceptional series! Cheers from Boston.
Congrats on your first deer. Another great video. Beautiful looking bucks and I bet they taste great. I'm heading to our friends ranch in western South Dakota on the 8th of Nov for deer season, I've got two either-sex white tail deer tags and two antlerless only whitetail tags. I usually donate a couple deer to the Hunters for the Hungry organization. Will be bringing back a half of an Grass fed Angus, no growth hormones/organic that my friend raises and aged 18-21 days. Tastes so much better than store brand meat.
Well done Scott, you won't forget that shot ever! To our friends over the pond, the deer look and are small but the meat is 5 star rating, although we may have 9 foot tall red stags at 275 pounds these little deer are superb to eat and they are classed as a pest here in the UK, (I wish I had some near me !). Cheers Scott and Coops for your time and effort lads !
CONGRATULATIONS! I love your channel, Scott! You're the most complete cooking channel I've found. You cover so much. Butchering, cooking, and now you've gone into hunting, trapping, etc! It has been a bit since I've looked at your subscriber count and to see you've got over 100K subs its amazing; congratulations to you on that!! Contact RU-vid and tell them to send you that silver play button award! :)
From one deer hunter (in NW Montana) to another, well done my friend. Nice clean shot. Absolutely gorgeous country where you hunted, some of it looks like parts of the USA. Nice to have such a great friend and hunting companion like Coops. Don't worry over the lighting and bird noises, it just added to the realism. The liver breakfast was brilliant. Looking forward to part two. Thanks for this amazing channel and your awesome recipes!
A message to our friends across the pond. Quite a few of you mention how small the deer are. Well that is because it's a small species called Muntjac. They are not native to Britain but they really thrive here and are quite invasive, therefore there is no closed shooting season on these animals. I personally think that Muntjac is the tastiest deer breed by a long shot but that is just my opinion. Yes we have large deer in the UK and we shoot them during the appropriate season. This is a video about small deer.
I enjoyed this video thank you . I am from across the pond. You mention to our American friends this deer may be small. Im a North East Pennsylvania hunter. Yes the munjac deer is small. But im told there taste is wonderful. I'd love to try it. I am very fortunate that where I'm from I average 3 to 4 whitetail deer a year from 125 to 180 hanging wieght a year. Some smaller some larger. Not often larger. A deer that hangs at 180 is a hog of a whitetail here. Up north I reckon they come bigger. But its all the same. Deer and deer hunters, only differance is , in our camp ,its strong black coffee boiled with 6 inches of rusty barb wire. Really cheap brandy. And the beer is cold. Other than that my friends each successful day in our deer season ends, with an onion ,fresh back straps, and a Smokey fire in the deer shack. Same as y'all. Thanks for the hunt video Gary, in litchfield twp Pa.
Hey Mate. Hi from Australia. Love the new look and the new aspect of the show. Iv been following you since day one. I hope to get my first deer this weekend in Vulcan forest in NSW. Ill use your liver recipe for sure. Keep cooking brother!
Brilliant vid Scott, thoroughly enjoyed it, great shooting and congrats on your first dear. Always enjoy your work but this is up there with the best, keep them coming mate.👍
Great job with the two Muntjac Deer guys. I've never seen those kind until this video, interesting to see those. I Googled the species, seems those things actually breed like rabbits almost... LoL 🌱Be Blessed ღ 🌼
when the British deer step into a field and stop for a spot of tea, that's the best time to shoot them. Also, keep an eye out for the deer's little deer umbrella, they never go out without an umbrella! British deer are so very British indeed.!
Good job on your first . I kill the one i can carry .not like some others that got to get the biggest horns .i hunt for something tasty to eat . Cool vid .
