In question 3 also we can apply the same logic that you applied in question 4 like x+y+z= 10 minimum value of X is 1 so y+z=9. But according to your answer it's wrong. Please point out the mistake in my approach
Ur answer is correct, 9 is the right answer , I m getting the same Plz go through the logic below 26 is the extra count, and since 8 is the exact no. of people who play all 3 games so 26-8*2=10 is the extra count remaining.as there is at least one person who like only F & C , so (10-1) = 9 , so 9 is the max no. Of people who like F & H only and C &H only
@@lamborghiniveneno8423 9 cannot be correct bcoz if y+z =9 then all 3common is 8 so students playing hockey will be 9+8+1(min only hockey) =18 ..but it is given only 16play hockey..so by tht formula even if u find x+y+z=10...check we already have 8 for all 3..plus min 1 for hockey only ..so for hockey u can have 7 more at max..hence answer is 7
sir if i try to cross check, in 3rd sub que, if y+z=9 (a wrong option) then, c=8-(y-z)=> c= -1. (c)min= 1, from main question ok. But sir how can be choose the methods for solving. aways 50% of my dought is sloved thank u sir. got a great help, for understanding venn diagrams.
Q4: I think the answer should be x=16; here's why: All 3 sports is given as 8 Minimize (only cricket region) to and Z as 1, 18- (x+1) = 1 X = 16 (There is no restriction on manipulation of other parts of the venn diagram. Put Y=1 (condition) and all of the excess value of the conditions into (only Football) and (only Hockey). The previous formulas aren't relevant as the condition and objective is different in the 4th bit.
Sol It through equations or trail and errors .....if x=16 ,if you add all values a+b+c+d+e+f+g =42 which is wrong (contradicts)the given condition ,so check it..thq u
Sir, for Q3..if we use the equation exctly 2 + 2(exctly 3) = 26 and given exctly 3 = 8 , implying exctly 2 = 10. i.e x+y+z = 10 ..max of y+z can be achieved by minimizing x i.e x=1 therefore y+z =9. but the answer is 7. Please clarify.
Also the method by which he did no 4 is wrong but in this particular question, the answer he got didn't violate any given constraints, there are some cases in which you will get wrong answer.
But sir aapne concept toh bataya hi nahi. Why do we need two equations. Why can't I just put exactly 1=3 and exactly 2 =3 in the first equation itself?
