i wanted to give my two cents about venom's gender since so many people are debating it in the comments venom is an alien. they don't have a human concept of gender. i think he's okay with he/him pronouns and ig he would technically be nonbinary but he's not a cisgender male. mlnb (men loving nonbinary) is recognized as an lgbtq+ sexual orientation. even if venom isn't a male by their or earth's standards, a relationship between a male human and a nonbinary individual is still gay and there's nothing straight whatsoever about venom and eddie's relationship. sorry homophobes but you lost this one, the space goo is hella gay.

Yeah but the symbiote will stay with you 24/7 both physically AND mentally. You won’t be able to wank in peace or have a private thought. Also, they can be a burden depending on how well your bond is. They feed off negative emotions and can influence the host’s behaviour, that’s why Peter dumped it

Dylan and Sleeper. Sleepers is a symbiote, which means he is Venoms kid (and Eddie's to an extent) Dylan is Eddie and Ann's son but he was conceived when Venom was bonded to Ann so he ended being a human-symbiote hybrid and I guess technically Sleeper's half brother.

Gotta say I love that (minor spoiler) they don’t make Dan an arsehole like yeah he concerned about his partner getting into all this wild alien shit but he’s never a dick or cold towards Eddie for the sake of it and by the end even venom likes him so I think venom out here with his three partners by the end being in a much healthier happier place with Eddie and I’m so happy!

In a way, it's not romantic love more of a symbiotic love, to a non-corrupted symbiote finding a true host is everything and it defines who they are. Eddie is Venom's true host and that's why he loves him, he's a part of him. Now he's bonded to Dylan Brock, Eddie's son, to be the new Venom and protector for Dylan.

I can only remember when I went to see that movie, the moment where Venom gets into a party and Venom tells a girl that he's sorry but she's not his type, I said: yes, cuz he gay. and proceeded to take a sip of soda and while I was taking my soda vemon says: i got out of eddies closset. For me, I absolutely loved this. Like I sat there going "Finally, been waiting for this!" And was definitely not disappointed. In the film I wish we got the negative side to Eddie and Venoms relationship like in the comics, the movies were good with it just wish we had those darker aspects about how possessive Venom can be. I remember in the comics he tricked Eddie into thinking he had cancer so he didn't leave Venom.

Okay if you guys like this pairing and their dynamic I need to reccomend to you the Malevolent fiction podcast. It's about a 1930s private investigator who wakes up one day completely blind and with a voice in his head. The voice explains that it has control of his eyes, and this leads to a very fun and very well-written buddy cop mystery story where the protagonist has to be led around everywhere by his seeing-eye demon. And yes they do fall in love, thank you for asking
