I really really love this venom. How he an Eddy coexist so well. I was really young during that old school spiderman cartoon and I don’t remember venom and Eddie’s relationship in that but I remember spiderman 3 and it wasn’t like this. I like this a lot. It’s turned him into a genuine “anti-hero” and gives room for decent comedy.

Eddie and Venom get sent back at the end of the NWH bar scene. This is in the same universe as the other Venom movies. It’s just the same actor playing a different character.

I guess he meant that a tiny part of venom was left behind in this bar while eddy shortly traveled to the spiderman/mcu universe. So yes it is bit confusing seeing the same actor getting a piece of venom, especially if that scene should play out in the same universe. They probably retcon that whole part.

When Sony announced they were doing a Spider-Verse, we all believed that Venom was the most pointless property that they could make a movie from. How wrong we were. Tom Hardy has been phenomenal in the role, and while the writing has been very hit and miss, the films have been consistently fun. Which is more than can be said for the likes of Madame Web and Morbius.

this happened with the first movie's end credits, woody had curly hair at the end of it, come venom 2 hes got straight hair. Venom 2 end credit scene shows tom holland's spiderman, spiderman nowhere to be seen....

You're delusional if you think Disney would allow Tom Holland to show up in SONY's mess of a universe as anything more than on a screen in the background, most likely as part of the deal for SONY allowing them to use their versions of the villains for No Way Home. The MCU is already in a bad place, they wouldn't willingly attach themselves to these flops. And while SONY owns the rights to live action Spider-Man, Disney is renting them, most likely on the condition that SONY can't use live-action Spider-Man without their permission, which is why there hasn't been a live-action SONY Spidey since the deal. And even if they could, Holland Spider-Man is a specific version of the character owned by Disney, which they would have to give them the right to do regardless, and Disney doesn't share IP.

@@noahc1900 The issue is that we see the actor who played MCU's Mordo capture that small piece of Venom in this trailer at 1:25, which mean we'll at least get a scene or two set in the MCU during NWH in this movie. They will have no choice but to address the multiversal events directly related to Spider-Man, presumably without mentioning Spider-Man. I'm assuming that was partly what OP was talking about.

Like cmon, we even know that the primary antagonist is just a bait and switch for another antagonist, something that is usually specifically reserved for the movie itself lol.

Seems like an obvious bad faith argument you have there. Only listing the "bad" one and not the "good" one he worked on. He also produced: * Spider-Man 2 (the best live action Spider-Man movie for a lot of people) * Iron Man 1 (which created the whole MCU) * The Amazing Spider-Man 1 * Spider-Man : Into the Spider-Verse (the overall best Spider-Man movie for a lot of people) * Spider-Man : Across the Spider-Verse He was also Executive Producer in: * All 3 Blade movies * All the Spider-Man movie he wasn't the producer for * Both X-Men 1 and X-Men 2 * X-Men TAS * X-Men '97 * Spider-Man TAS Clearly, his name being attached to something doesn't automatically means it will turn out bad.

This looks cool. But as a venom fan since I first got the books as a kid the only issue I have is the lack of comic book characters. Like I get it. But why waste so much potential on venom fighting basically his own kind? If they really wanted to blow everyone’s minds introduce some real character for him to fight! Like Spider-Man? Or???

I'm hoping this movie pulls a Logan and ends up being the best one in the trilogy. Sadly, I think Venom will not end the trilogy with the white spider and have his comic accurate look, but it's a wait and see
