Nice job Jerry she is looking beautiful I got the same color as you and I just ordered a few goodies for it! Gonna post a video also to show the work done! Enjoyed your video and keep up the Great work I learn a lot from watching your vids much appreciated 🤙🏽
Hey, my bike will idle at 1500rpm with some advance in the ignition. It only tends to hunt and waiver without it lol. I need to get one of these keys for my CG
@@JerryHawk250 thanks again for the fast response. I get my x22r July 30th. Your videos been a big help to be able to see in depth videos about this model.
Hey Jerry quick question do you remember off hand what size center hole you had cut for your rear sprocket I didn’t wanna take the wheel off yet lol I’m going with the 36t if you have all the measurements that would be a big help but center hole would definitely be appreciated thanks
@@JerryHawk250 I said u had a fun time getting the flywheel off ..well my stator went out ordered a replacement hope the part fits..and got cover off....can I get a part plz...😁
@@trucker2b Here's the flywheel remover you will need. This one will be on the slow boat. lol You might be able to find one in the US. www.ebay.com/itm/1pc-Black-Metal-Outer-Wire-M27x1-0-R-H-Thread-Flywheel-Puller-For-Motor-Bike/352663054759?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3Dbed1d54c7803474da710f24effbdfef3%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dnone%26sd%3D233512105404%26itm%3D352663054759%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057%26brand%3DUnbranded&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A6180bffc-af0b-11ea-bb38-74dbd180e504%7Cparentrq%3Ab8260a4e1720ac3db1728069fff65428%7Ciid%3A1
I just picked up a used one and got it back up and running. Looking for upgrades and trying to look for the cam. Hot cams shows that cam as discontinued. Do you happen to know an equivalent to the Hot Cams that would benefit the engine?
This would actually be a little hotter than the Hotcam i used. www.ebay.com/itm/174322962671 Just make sure you have the 223cc engine and not the 229cc engine that was shipped out with a few of the X22R's
@@JerryHawk250 will do, thanks! And how would I distinguish the 2? Does the engine code give the info? And does the 229cc perform better overall against the 223cc? Sorry trying to learn about this as much as possible.
I haven't had a chance to do any top speed runs. Between rain and the tropical storm I haven't put enough miles on it to break in am seat the new rings. It does get to 80 mph a whole lot quicker. It will actually lift the front wheel on hard throttle. I'm going to shoot some ride video tomorrow.
Is their a ebay US seller fly wheel Puller any suggestions . and what inner thread is it for the Hawk 250 .Just ordered the key and this is new to me. Thanks again keep up the good work.
Not that i know of. Believe me i looked because i didn't want the long wait. The first one they sent me was the wrong one. Mine will finally arrive today according to tracking. It took about 3 weeks. I hope they sent the right one this time.
Hey Jerry, I bought the same alarm you put on your x22R, I know you sold it but do you remember if you had trouble connecting the auto start feature? My mechanic couldn’t figure it out so I thought I’d ask you if there was something extra that needed to be done to make that feature work properly?
I had mine hooked up but never really used it. I don't remember color of the wires I connected to. One wire connected into power wire when the ignition is on and the other into the start button to the relay. The kill wire is not used because it's a DC cdi. There should be two different wiring diagrams. The one that doesn't use the kill wire is the one you use.
Blue wire will go to start button relay wire, Orange will connect into power wire after the ignition switch. grey and pink will not be used. And of course black is - and red is +.
@@JerryHawk250 good morning sir question so I’ve literally watched all your vids on the X22R and read EVERY comment i just got the x22r from venom motor sports about a month ago and ive just started adding mods. I know you sold bike a lil while ago but do you happen to remember where the starter relay is located and the power wire or I guess its called the ignition switch I totally don’t understand diagram that came with motorcycle and some of it kinda faded.TYI for you time.
Got it disassembled down to the flywheel, 14mm is the bolt size. My 1700 in/lb impact driver couldn't get it off though, so I'll need to find a way to keep the flywheel from moving and go at it with my breaker bar
@@JerryHawk250 unknowingly mismatched the stator with the regulator rectifier now trying to undo my mistake if I can't find an 11 pole stator I'll go to 12 instead of 18 Still not charging and it's not over charging ...so weird 12.4v rev to 5k still 12.4v OEM....just stop working...start the bike 4 times in 1 day battery will be dead
Yes it is worth it. It will extend the oil life and engine life. I installed one on my Hawk 250 years ago and still running strong with 7900+ miles on it. If you plan on any high performance mods like higher compression ratio it is a must do mod.
There is a seller on Ebay but 3 weeks after i ordered the key i had to cancel the order because the seller never responded back until last week. About a month after i cancelled.
You will want a 30 mm carb. 26mm would be too small. The stock carb that comes on this bike is an upgraded PZ30 pumper carb. With the mods i've done i upgraded to a PWK30 smooth bore carb. On the stock engine the PE30 would be the best to upgrade to.
JerryHawk250 thanks jerry I subbed to your channel a while back seems like you really know what you’re talking about on the China riders forum and you happen to have the same name for your RU-vid channel had to give a follow
@@nicogotti9036 That's way to rich for those mods. 108-110 will put it just about right. I'm running a 125 main but i also have a ported head, 11:1 piston and performance cam.
