In his own sad way… he can’t be near people because collective karma from vanquishing demons and monsters through the ages have taken a toll on him and he fallen yaksha brothers and sisters. It’s a good thing the guests in that dinner party were those who have Visions or tap into the elements so they can resist the bad karma to a degree. Over time, I am sure there will be those who just wanna assist him and are aware of the risks involved, like in 2.7’s Archon Quest.

This makes more sense now from what comes after - Zhongli is basically saying, you keep seeing me as this powerful God who is so above you, but we can all be close friends and family - just like most people think Xiao is so powerful and godly, but we as the Traveler became close with Xiao. Status doesn't matter, you can be close friends with everyone.

reasons why I ship them both a lot: 1. Both characters are developing together, Xiao is opening up more to the world and having a more open mind, despite being an introvert, for the traveler, the concept would be more interesting security, Xiao ensures the safety of the traveler all the time, and obviously the traveler gets into a lot of trouble (just look at his fake drowning), and I think that, if Hoyoverse explores a little more this part of bringing security to the traveler coming from Xiao, both characters would definitely be much better together. I am very fond of studying mbti, and I am speaking more as a reference to other people's studies of Xiao's mbti (specifically Xiao and his relationship with others, both Zhongli and traveler), and I assure you that, both of their mbti ( traveler Istp and Xiao istj) are mbtis that usually go together (not necessarily speaking). 2. I think the traveler would be the light and Xiao the darkness (I love this shipp dynamic, it never lets us down) 3. It's cute, need I say more? And compared to other ships that could be more toxic, this one in turn I think is not toxic (as a traveler X Childe, nothing against the shipp, just for the sake of lore I think this will never happen, although I like it a lot how the fandom treats the shipp dynamics, even if sometimes it escapes the character's reality, at least in my opinion, especially Lumine X Childe), and this will also depend on how the fandom portrays it, excessive jealousy can be a sign of bad relationship (Many times the fandom exaggerates Xiao's jealousy, which sometimes makes it seem like a toxic relationship). 4. That makes me think... Did Barbatos actually killed any god during Archon War? Because his strongest opponents - Decarabian and Andrius - "eliminated themselves" during their long fight: Andrius was sieging Old Mondstadt, Decarabian surrounded the city in a mighty storm so Lupus Boreas wouldn't go in and destroy the city, killing the citizens. Yet Decarabian didn't wish to face him, either because he thought he was too weak to face him or the collateral damage would've caused deaths of innocent. He truly cared for Mondstadtians, although his actions were a little too... extreme; like over the 400 years, he was slowly creating the micromanaged economy and political structure, so people thought God of Storms was trapping them to have them all for himself, so they killed him in a rebellion. Andrius then retreated, and knowing he couldn't be an Archon (due to his lack of love toward humans and his powers being more destructive than helpful), he "committed suicide". Canon info doesn't say anything about Barbatos actually fighting and defeating anyone during the rest of Archon War; only that he cooperated with by-then God of War, Morax, and befriended him (the friendship remains to the very day).

Paimon most definitely was not jealous Paimon canonically has separation anxiety and therefore upset when the Traveler left because she ead afraid the Traveler was going to leave her as someone with separation anxiety I understand the way she would feel if she was a real person though that doesn't undermine the comedy of them ignoring her later😂

I disagree with pick me energy thing 😂 but reading the replies, remind me of the first time we met Paimon. She hovered in front of us as she showed us the way to our first statue. That time, she was a stranger of unknown species. How time flies. Now she's like our most annoying lil sister who we love to tease but can't bear to see her cry.
