The thing that makes Terry unique is his singing. If this is the only example of his skills you've seen you must watch his show. Even if he didn't do the puppet thing, his ability to sing and mimic the artist is amazing. And singing with out moving lips is just about impossible. Terry is incredibly talented.

Terry Fator used to come and perform at my elementary school for those magazine sales we had to do. I remember him coming to perform one year when I was in fifth grade and he asked us if any of us watched America's Got Talent and he broke the news he was going to be on the show to audition. I watched the whole season he was on with my parents, cheering him on and got so excited when he won.
I LOVE Wrex! He seems to be alive. It's not just the voice (which is amazing) it's also the build of the character, the expressions, the slight movements, all master puppetry. Brilliant!

Wrex is charming, and the voice is perfect. I love his anxiety, and the quick and (apparently) spontaneous answers. Wrex is such a distinct character. He sounds like a likeable neurotic Eastern European.
He is the best ventriloquist ever....he is so much more than just a expert ventriloquist, he is a great impersonator, great singer, comedian and all at the same time.
+William Baker I beg to differ...if you need a team of writers and concept designers, then he isn't truly "the best"... His"comedy" is written by others. True genius does all the work on their own, not pay a staff to think for you.

Actually both Dunham and this man are great. I say don't compare the two. I had never heard of this man until today. I'm not into ventriloquists that much but these two men are at the top.
I agree! He would jump in and out so quickly, from himself to the puppet, and back, that they almost seemed to talk over each other... Vocal Gymnastics at its best!

@Marc Whitakay , convincing of his ability to practically give that wooden doll a life of it's own. Look how he controls it's movements. The guy interviewing actually spoke to the doll a time or two. Watch the ventriloquists mannerisms as he speaks for it. Try to catch his mouth moving...it's damn near impossible. Convincing of what? That this doll just might be Pinocchio!

You know what really pisses me off about RU-vid,is the morons that always want to find negatives about every performer.When I watch a ventriloquist,I nearly never look to see if his mouth is moving.The reason being is,I actually like to believe the puppet is real.Its called entertainment.I like to be entertained,not criticise.Its as much about the way the ventriloquist moves the puppets limbs and facial features,as it is about the voice.This guy is very good.

this guy won agt about 6yrs ago... he signed a 100mil. $$ contract with a casino in vegas after that... he has a terry fator theater in that casino... normally his puppets sing like celebrities... he is brilliant.

Terry does well-known voices and can sing in nearly everyone's voice, including female singers. He and Jeff Dunham are both excellent and very different.
Jeff Dunham is an established and respected ventriloquist in his own right. I do feel like there are better ventriloquists out there, such as Terry Fator, Paul Zerdin, and David Strassman. Even Darci Lynne is a fantastic talent that I think will only get better as she gets older and continues to develop her craft.

Anyone that would rank any ventriloquist above this man does not know a thing about the art. He can entertain by singing through his props or alone. He can imitate so many singers that no one else can. He is a true artisan that has paid his dues.

He ignores his writers and puts on a show that reeks of desperation. He is quite untalented when it comes to material and puppet design. It's like saying an obese person has a pretty face...
Good lesson in vent. Terry is a fine vocal artist on several levels. Excellent. 'Like to see Wrex in a cartoon strip. Beautiful craftsmanship on the figure.
Aside from the skill Terry described in making the sounds without the use of the lips, the second greatest skill is to get the audience to suspend their disbelief, and allow the character to be alive in their minds for the moment. That is SO important.
Actually more important than the voice. Once the audience starts watching the puppet, the more it takes them into the realm that the voice is being thrown through the puppet. While some ventriloquist can have a good number of different voices, few have the number that Terry has, especially when they can sing in the same voice.

I don't know why people are being so negative. CBS may be baiting views but Terry is still a FANTASTIC and amazing ventriloquist. I would like to see everyone saying rude things try to do this. The man has talent and I'm always amazed by ventriloquists and their abilities. It is baffling how they do it. Job well done Terry.
WOW! This guy has to be at least ONE of the best that I've ever seen/heard!!! "Wrex" reminds me of Peter Sellers in his tone of voice and even his facial expression. Amazing talent!!!
I like that detail about him. Its like he was damaged from a "impact consultation" and they had to put another left foot on cuz they were running out of parts.
You guys just don't get it ... this guy is so good he perfectly articulates the 'P's and 'D's that are so difficult for a ventriloquist ... notice the emphasis on the P... an d then tell me he sucks. Go ahead, try it.
He is amazing. I didn't watch the AGT when he won, but I started watching his stuff years ago. He is a great ventriloquist, a hilarious comedian, and a great singer. Wrex is great and has the perfect voice... Love watching these videos. I love how he keeps the "dummy" active while he is talking to the interviewer. "I'm not going to make a joke about that"... cracked me up. 🤣🤣
