This makes me view ventriloquism in a whole new light! Praise God for his strength and power in our lives! Without him, we are indeed spiritually empty.
David that sentence only made me cry just almost thanks for saying that video is really helpful and I definitely like that that sums up and you I love that speech
That was one of the most beautiful testimonies I've ever heard. Anyone felt mislead by the title "David Pendleton tells his own story" is just seeking a reason to complain even while being 'religious'! If you believe why condemn this? If people get upset a kid may see this, having 9 grandkids of my own, I'd rather them stumble across this then the smut you dont mind your children watching and listening too. God is using this man if you complain check your walk with God while there's time!
Just remember David Pendleton did not upload this post himself. it is another person that put this up. i think it is good to be a wittiness. weather on youtube or otherwise. People need to know this kind of stuff.
wow first time Ive seen him .. found it by accident .. AMEN thank you... I will be watching from now on .. If anyone would like help understanding how to get closer to Jesus, let me know and I would be happy to help you
A happy person - don't be jelaous, this story is mine as well and can be anyone else's if they want. And if church is the only place you can hear about God than christianity is definitely dead - so I welcome such testimonies!
This analogy works on so many levels. 1) Aunt Tilly was made in the image of a human, just as humans were made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). 2) Aunty Tilly just was made for David Pendleton, just as humans were made for God (Colossians 1:16). 3) Aunty Tilly has no life apart from David, just as humans have no life apart from Christ (John 3:36). 4) Aunty Tilly can do nothing apart from David, just as humans can do nothing apart from Christ (John 15:5). Praise the Lord!
A quote from the description: "This particular clip is David sharing his own personal story." Would you rather it read, "Warning: The following may offend the habitually offended!"?
I watched this as a student of ventriloquism; but, even as a non-born-again-Christian, I was impressed with David Pendleton's work, and the analogy about life being put in the doll, and in people. It was impressive.
I love this, and my mom will love it too. I have never seen the like of this before, I'm glad he took time to share that with such a large audience. Such a good message. To anyone who doesn't think this is funny: This isn't meant to be funny you jerk, he says at the very beginning, "I'm going to be serious a moment" or some such, I don't know how to link the time or I'd do it. Life isn't all jokes and comedy.
@13biglou1992 it's cool :) i like how at least a lot of christians are getting so much out of their religion and it's understandable when they get angry when other people deny their beliefs.
@gsting2 think you were duped? Well, if you watched the whole thing then watch it again and really pay attention. You didn't just "happen" on this video. You saw it for a reason. A reason you probably will never understand. Hope you catch the truth of the message.
David is using this illustration to introduce the gospel, not to disciple. "Whoever wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me." Three steps--followed by a whole lot more, all the while lugging an instrument of torture. I think Jesus is telling us to follow Him to the death. Being a Christian is a decision you manage daily. After all, the problem with a living sacrifice is that it can crawl off the altar. So stay surrendered! :D
Actually, I wouldn't care. To me, Christian comedy=clean comedy. It doesn't have to be about religion. Just life. I will grant you that I have the advantage of having seen this routine in its entirety, so the title and description were in no ways misnomers for me. But you need to stop assuming that it was the intent of the poster to mislead. The title is David's title, and the description is the summary of his message. That's all. And you know what assuming does.
@13biglou1992 not all atheists hate christians. it also amazes me at how christians are always claiming that ALL atheists are trying to attack their religion. we're not. we've got better things to do with our lives. don't criticize all of us for those one or two jerks. i'm an atheist and i respect christians, so i hope you can respect atheists too.
do not force upon others not to talk about our faith as you have the option to listen or not. So just shut your mouth and open your heart, which may or not be so crappy.
To the the profane guy a few comments down: If you are that evil against Jesus now, what do you think is going to happen when you stand before Him as your Judge? You are fighting against yourself - because you are opposing your only chance to be saved and live forever by coming against the One who loves you and died in your place so you could live ..... forever!
@MegaHeyheyhey10 Most of the people who attend David's show know what he's about. They come fully aware of his belief and faith and expect it to be the focal point. He is using the gift God gave him not only to entertain, but to make people aware that Jesus died for their sins...........to those who believe in a "different god", there is only One God who has given His Son, there is only One God who can save you from hell.
@ClassicCartoonsGuy Not exactly, I wasn't being a troll in the slightest. There is nothing on this page that indicates this ventriloquist act was a Christian video. I'm not looking for profanity (however, it usually adds to the comedic value when used properly, though is not required), I was on the hunt to watch funny ventriloquism that wasn't all Jeff Dunham. Therefore I was duped into watching this when my religious beliefs of lack thereof should not be taken into consideration. Hence my anger
if i go to a comedy event - no disrespect to religious people- i go in for comedy. i dont believe in god therefore i dont want to be preached at i personally find it annoying and forceful. again no disrespect, but if i had been there at that time i would hve been quite pissed.
@ClassicCartoonsGuy "Sharing a personal story" does not, at all, in any contention indicate anything inherently religious. I don't instantly recognize pews, nor do I even know what Bananas Comedy is, am I supposed to with my lack of religious beliefs, that Bananas Comedy in-fact is a religious comedy network/group/what have you? You Christians seriously think on another level of human consciousness, and it isn't necessarily a complement. You're almost all living in a box lacking common sense.
You would not have survived as a Christian in communist Romania. They did things that were far more subtle. You, on the other hand, would have compromised in a heartbeat. Besides, David told his audience that he was going to get serious for a while. You had the option then to stop listening.
the title is very missleading i am very religious and believe in God and his son but i think it is morally wrong not to make the purpose or intent of a vidoe not clear. if you believe in what you say then put it in the title and dont fool peop[le into watching mostly kids it is the job np responsability of theres to teach morals and God not utube
3:15 and let you continue in sin? rebellion? which is the way of The Lie that people are living? They know they are living that way . . Do they figure God is blind or that He doesn't mind that they are living The Lie?? He has called all men everywhere to Repent, to turn back from that Lie, to abandon Every false way . . but they haven't. They somehow think they can continue in The Lie, and still be forgiven. Is He in the business of enabling continued rebellion against His original designs for man and woman? Who will get honest with themselves on this? He says to Return to the Truth > that means to Live the Truth, and to abandon The Lie. The question always has been, Will you??
Yeah you got your own beliefs but this is so natural of christians to do, find any ocasion and start preaching about what they believe I find every person is entitled to their own faith as long as they respect the rest of the people's decision and don't start claiming that their's is the "true" one Seriously, I'm happy it works for you but keep it to yourself man
Hey before jesus was on the cross we had to sacrfice lambs to pay for their sin and then jesus came along and was like the ultimate lamb thats why they call him the lamb of god and he washed all of the sin away GET IT :p
Why the Bible? I know, because that's the ONLY religious book that talks about REAL truth. Those other religious books HAVE to be wrong... What says those other ones don't contain truth? You would be saying that the Quran was true if you were raised Muslim(I think it is..) The only reason the Bible supposedly contains truth is because you were raised Christian.. Now, I was raised Christian, but I started to use my brain to learn that no religion is actually right. But I still believe in A God.
Do not tell me where I am going wrong in not believing. I do not believe in ghosts, fairies, and have better things to do than wasting time answering stupid peoples silly and nonsensical remarks .
@zomgl0l Well, once he started talking about Jesus you could have just left this site...No reason to post your filth on here...not everyone talks like that or wants to read this mess either...Time to grow up and have some decency.
