We have Venturing in New Zealand for 14-18 year olds, with pretty much the same type of idea, except it's the only programme for that age range... when you've learned the skills in the Scout programme you use those skills to gain leadership experience in Venturing
The neckerchief is the universal symbol of the Scouting movement. Scouts around the world are recognized by the neckerchief or scarf around their neck. I prefer the traditional method of fastening the neckerchief up around the neck with a slide or woggle rather than down near the ends with the friendship knot.

Within the BSA you have multiple programs. All programs including the Venturing program have class A’s and class B’s. The green blazer is the class A and is worn for many occasions.
