I'm going to try this gel wrap. I have small hands, there's a void /space in my gloves when i'm using Fairtex hand wraps. Thank you for this review JBK.
I LOVE the finger spacing it has. The cheap BUKA? ones I own ride up in between my fingers in a painful pinch, but if I go a size larger the velcro doesn't line up. These look absolute perfect.
That's great. These do sound like a far better option for you. Just be careful as I've since discovered that the quality of the stitching isn't the best 😏
I know this is a super late comment, but according to Venum, those wraps still go around your hand and wrist, NOT JUST your wrist ... that version is meant to simply provide some additional padding UNDER the wraps ... it's supposed to still be quicker than plain wraps, i.e., don't have to wrap between the fingers (but I still do)
My WYOX's ripped their stitching just like those Venum's did, which makes sense cuz it has a similar design (Amazing finger protection, love my RDX's) I "fixed" it by wrapping it twice over with gorilla tape... not sure if that was smart cuz now they're more bulky and probably eroding the lining of my gloves faster but... the inner gloves are fixed at least?
The stitching came undone on my first training session so I swapped them and the same thing happened with the second pair, the stitching on the gel area is awful unfortunately.
Ok so I ended up buying them and ok... you were right lol. Not only does the stitching bite in between my fingers on one side (Not the other?) but its already tearing around the thin padding around the knuckles and fingers, great. Its sad cuz I LOVE the extra long wrap and how it fits besides that...
Yeah they will likely be too bulky to fit inside a tight fitting glove. They fit nicely inside my Fairtex gloves as they have lots of room inside to allow for hand wraps etc
Seems like the overwhelming consensus on these is that they're very comfortable (good) and made like shite and the stitching falls apart almost immediately (bad)
Personally I always prefer to use the normal wraps. I find they provide far more support, but they do take longer to put on. I have three Venum gloves in my bag as an emergency incase I'm ever late for training and don't hwv the time to put the normal wraps on
@@recountlive448 I would go for the regular wraps, but just remember that they take a bit of practice to wrap, so give yourself plenty of time before your class /training starts
They just about fit inside my Fairtex Muay Thai gloves, but there's plenty of room inside my Fairtex Thai gloves compared to regular boxing gloves. To be honest I ended up going back to using normal hamdwraps instead of these Venum gloves
Yeah you can use these in training. Although these are designed to be worn under your gloves and not a substitute for your gloves, you can also wear them for light bag work, grappling etc. Maybe even for very light sparring 🤔
I don’t recommend these for larger folks, especially when sparring with a partner and having to switch from gloves to pads, the gel padding makes it difficult to fit your hand into the pads leaving your partner waiting and the clock counting down.
After a single training the letters on the knuckles are destroyed. I used my cheap backup boxing gloves with them for the experiment, now i have to throw them away as there is sticky residue all inside them from that damn venum crap prints.
@@yalijin3020 sorry to hear that your gloves are ruined. I agree that these Venum gloves are not great quality. The stitching come away from mine after only a couple of uses 😒
To be honest I gave up on the inner gloves and just use regular hand wraps instead. Sure uts mire hassle to wrap your hands, but I felt I get far more support and the wraps don't fall apart like some of the inner gloves do after a while. That's just personal preference though 🙂
