I love how when she says "You are an icon -- PERIOD. Right??" She just nods like, "Yep." LOL. Love them. Venus and her father came to my middle school in Harlem when I was a kid (maybe ages 11-13 or so) and they were so amazing. They donated to my school, came to encourage the young women (who were indeed encouraged) and they were very authentic in their encouragement. Clearly, as I still remember it now many years later as an adult. As a child, I recall they gave Venus' REAL LIFE PHONE NUMBER to my class and one of my friends became a temporary penpal. What an awesome family, beautiful and hard-working and THOROUGH. LEGIT. True inspirations. Go, Williams Fam!!!! Love love love it. xxoxo

Venus is just so amazing and it’s a pity that her autoimmune diagnosis robbed her of what most likely would’ve been more career championships. People often forget that back in 2010 Venus made it all the way back to no. 2 in the world just behind Serena, and when she looked like she would compete for more Majors, the very next year she was diagnosed with the disease.

I cant wait to see venus back on the court. Dont forget people she has not officially retired yet and we still have a future chance of seeing her back on the big stage. Go venus!

I became a fan in Nigeria, just because they were black, that made me and my neighbors watch them We knew nothing about lawn tennis But me and my friends just wanted the Williams sisters.to win all the time By watching them , we learnt the rules of lawn tennis This goes to show , why representation is necessary in every endeavors
