Truck sounded Sweet - New Sound for sure ! No Logo as of Yet ! Smooth Arm Action ! Looks to Us that it is Longer - Are we Correct ?!?! We love the Camera Action as the Truck faded away in the Distance ! Great Video and many Cheers from us in QLD!!!!
As I have been watching videos of old and new Hurstville garbage trucks, I think the garbage and recycling bins they used to have were believed to be Sulo 2’s that were made back in 1998 for the Cleanaway contract. In late 2010 WSN picked up the contract leading to at least 3 of the old trucks being used as spares, one went to Burwood, the other 2 were sent to Ashfield but all 3 of those trucks have since been scrapped. There are videos of those old trucks you can find hence the old Hurstville Cleanaway trucks were built in 1998. I may be wrong though
You’re a tad bit of. The old Cleanaway Hurstville trucks were mostly 2000 builds. Cleanaway started in Hurstville in 2000 seeing the Accos still had the Int. badges and Raptor I bodies. Prior to Cleanaway, JJR carried out garbage collection in Hurstville. Not 100% sure if JJR also did crate recycling during the time they did garbage or if that was handled in house by council. The old Cleanaway Hurstville trucks where mostly scrapped except one which was used on Burwood greens for a short while, one which was a spare in Ashfield and a newer Raptor 2 which did greens in Hurstville and was used as a floater in Sydney after WSN got Hurstville
@@laurin4339 Yeah I actually meant to say Burwood. 816 also known as SL00442 was the truck that ended up in Burwood as a green waste truck and had been there since December 2010 where it would remain there for a good 2 years before being retired at the end of 2012. I think it was 818 that had the Acco badge on top of the grill because it may have been a later model being blue after the original white ones as I would imagine that a green waste service was implemented in the year 2000. The blue trucks were green waste trucks while the white ones were used for garbage and recycling.
@@johnp3247 yep the green waste service was introduced a bit later hence the Raptor II on green waste. Pretty sure most garbage and recycle trucks were 2000 builds too
