Wow!! Having been born in Africa and educated in the US, I am deeply grateful for the sacrifices and struggles of African Americans. Without their fight for justice and equality, I would not have the opportunities I have today. Their legacy is the foundation of my success. Every person of color in the USA should understand this!!
Vera is a living legend who tells her story and history in such intimate detail that at the hearing one is transported back in time. The imagery of her spoken word gives life and breath to this sacred time and space. She is a treasure I'm proud to call friend.
Bless this elder she is well deserved of return to the motherland..Her participation in our struggle is an example for the love she has for her people ..we need much more elders with her knowledge and experience..

Having been born in Africa and educated in the United States, I feel a profound sense of appreciation for the hardships and sacrifices endured by African Americans. Their unwavering struggle for justice and equality has paved the way for the opportunities that I enjoy today. I am fully cognizant that my achievements are rooted in their legacy. In my opinion, every person of color residing in the United States should be aware of this.
