Honestly. I'm taking this as headcanon, but that Clash between Vergil and Dante in the Begining, Dante collapsed to a knee for a moment right? If Nero never interferes, i think Vergil would have killed Dante there.
Vergil is awesome but I still think the other ending is kinda better, Dante gets weapons new and old, achieves his a new and true form and still his older brother defeats him. Vergil separated himself, ate a fruit, and put himself back together at both V’s and Urizen’s dying breaths. So technically he got stronger at near death like dragon ball 😅
Vergil for precise samurai style fighting and a little change of pace with beowulf Dante for stylisch never ending combos and s weapon switching and jc for both Nero u t za kind of lame for beginners although the devil breakers are pretty fun V not my cup of tea
I gotta say man. When i played base game i was average as hell with Nero. Decent with V and pretty good with Dante. But after 100s of hours with Vergil now i dont even want to go back to the others. Vergil for me is the perfect character to play.
@@haojudai5271 Honestly I highly disagree. Nothing can beat Nero's triple jump taunt, but Vergil's moves flow so well into each other that he's my most commonly S ranked character (both missions and style in battle)
@@Mohmar2010 Vergil did all that because he has a trauma, when he was little his home was attacked and his mother saved only Dante (because she couldn't save Vergil) and Vergil thought that his mother saved Dante because he loved him more, since then Vergil wanted more power to be better than Dante, that's why they always fight and the only way to make Dante fight is to force him by making Vergil dangerous. Obviously Vergil is the villain but that was all because of an accident when he was young. In real life I wouldn't support Vergil obviously but being a videogame I can empathize with him.
I think the reason we all like Vergil, is because he was a no nonsense character. With Dante, he just wants to toy around with his enemy as much as he can. Hence the incredible variety. With Vergil: You're in my way, i cut you down. That's it. The End. He's a very focused on one style, three weapons. Easy to understand but challenging to master, but we got no complaints. With Dante, he got so much variety i don't even know where to begin. Seriously.
Agreed 100%...Both Dante and Vergil are cool in their own way...Dante likes to run his mouth and kick the shit out of anyone...Vergil silently does that without giving a flying fk...
I'd performed nearly the same combo, just with the 3 final attacks of the 3 weapons of Vergil and finishing with the judgement cut perfect. *I made a SSS combo* _This is way beyond perfection, it's MOTIVATION_
They wanted to add Nero in as the final boss originally, there's leftover codestrings for him to spawn in M20. However I believe the Devil Breakers could not be integrated adversely easily so they went with Dante instead.
@@LowIntSpecimen you're right because remember in the following scene Dante literally asks Vergil "How'd it feel catching up with your kid?" And Vergil is more scuffed up looking.
Try waiting him out. He usually pauses between combos and you can punish. Also learn the dodge mechanic. It's kind of like royal guard in a way with a much more generous timing.
Nero style is really...boring to me and he doesn't have cool combos in my opion. V he is fun and just he fact it seems like a puff cloud of cartoon brawl happening Dante is fun but GODDAMN my fingers hurt switching from the four move styles Virgil just has that perfect flow, speed, and damage that I like and his dodge is simple and his combos don't require much of fingers to work so hard.
@Jesus Christ Denton Vergil is physically younger due to everything that's happened to him. But yeah, wacky woohoo pizza man still looks like shit because he's wacky woohoo pizza man.
Honestly, having played with both Dante and Vergil on the Bloody Palace, I can't see how would Dante ever be able to beat Vergil. He's gotten slower with age, while Vergil got even quicker.
@@CrystallizedBlackSkull what dante lacks in speed, he has in expirience. He has defeated and fought way more Demon gods. Vergil has more power to compensate his lack of expirience.
Sure, but he has SDT now and Devil Sword Dante. I don't think he's slower either. Dante has only gotten stronger with each game. Thing is, Vergil had ridiculous buffs this time. All that blood from the Qlipoth plus the fruit.
Took me too long to realize that the move that LOOKED like Shoryu Reppa actually WAS Shoryu Reppa since DMC and Street Fighter are both owned by Capcom...
Ah, this is what it's supposed to look like when the theme music kicks in. When I was playing it, it just seemed ironic. Getting Royal Guard Released every time it would say "I am the storm that is approaching" does something to the ole self-confidence...
Decent video but for the first minute all combos where the same. Some good ones against dante is Yamato forward, serial rave minus downwards hit, beowulf lunar eclipse, sword rain, down trick and drive.
This is such a Vergil gameplay, no wasted movements and precise attack combinations... unlike most people who upload videos to RU-vid playing as Dante and i could swear they are using some sort of style hack cuz i think it's humanly impossible to switch styles and guns and weapons so fast.
Actually its tough in PC, but not in consoles..thats why i am kinda average with Dante since the buttons are up and down to weapon and style change and even to be an average player, i spent more time in the void to practice changes in combat...
Mom: Did you have to give their last presents to them first? What if Mundus' forces hear them playing and hunt us? You know Dante is self destructive. Sparda: As long as he doesn't get impaled by his own sword Mom: .... Sparda: Ok, how about as long as he doesn't do it himself? Mom: ....... Sparda: Alright I get it... He has to be several thousand feet above sea level, have an external source of demon energy and dying. It'll never happen on accident. Mom: ........... Sparda: Say SOMEthing! Mom: He's just like you...
