Those structures used to have doors and they were used as inns or rooms by the Mughals and their guests and their armies to stay. Even the Shivling was installed after 1998 and the temple outside it was also build recently within last 54-5 years. These were never there.
By air you can take a flight to Srinagar and from there by taxi, or if you go by road then you reach Jammu and take Jammu-Srinagar highway and just after crossing the Jawahar Tunnel there’s a small town called Verinag, you can ask anyone around.
