Another me, locked in darkness. SERIES ‘O’ [ROUND 2: HOLE]
[ROUND 2: HOLE] will peak the SERIES ‘O’ plot by adding the tension of the story, which unfolds like a death game as if completing a quest, and the speed of being sucked deep into the darkness.
While the presence of the one who invited VERIVERY to a sweet party in the dark space in the last album has been dimmed, with the appearance of the presence who VERIVERY did not want to face, VERIVERY gradually blurs and sink into their respective spaces, soon eroding into darkness.
The music video captures the confusion of the members overwhelmed by the uncontrollably growing darkness as the unknown presence wearing a mask that appeared in ‘Get Away’ is set to reveal its face. The bleak feeling of production that matches the reputation of ‘Horror VERIVERY’ gives yet another sense of tension and pleasure to fans who’ve waited for VERIVERY’s summer. [ROUND 2 : HOLE]은 한 명씩 퀘스트를 깨나가는 듯 데스 게임과 같이 전개되는 스토리의 긴장감과 어둠 속으로 깊게 빨려 들어가는 속도감까지 더해져 SERIES ‘O’ 플롯의 정점을 찍을 예정이다.
지난 앨범 어둠의 공간 속 달콤한 광란의 파티장으로 VERIVERY를 초대한 존재가 어렴풋이 드러난 가운데, 마주하고 싶지 않았던 이의 등장으로 점차 VERIVERY의 존재는 흐려져 가고 각자의 공간에 잠기며 이내 어둠에 잠식된다.
뮤직비디오에서는 지난 ‘Get Away’에서 등장한 복면을 쓴 미지의 존재가 얼굴을 드러낼 예정으로 걷잡을 수 없이 커지는 어둠에 속수무책으로 당하는 멤버들의 혼란스러움을 담아낸다. ‘호러 베리’의 명성에 맞는 스산한 느낌의 연출은 VERIVERY의 여름을 기다린 팬들에게 또 다른 긴장감과 즐거움을 선사한다. 특히, 뮤직비디오 내에 숨겨진 오브제들의 의미와 지난 앨범 간에 서사 연장선을 찾아 해석하는 재미도 있을 것이다.
