I'm glad you spotlighted T-Mobile's 24mo financing at multiple stages because it really makes a difference if you want to upgrade to a new phone or add new lines for promotions frequently. Also the difference between Magenta Max and Magenta and in fact all the carrier's mid level plans is an eye opener. I was fortunate enough to get a Insider code for Magenta Max and the savings over Verizon's entry level plan that my sister was paying is significant...we pay less for 3 lines on T-Mobile than 2 basic lines at Verizon. Also we pay about the same amount for 3 voice and 2 connected device lines with promotions for free or heavily discounted devices attached to those lines that are on 24mo promotions. T-Mobile also paid $800 towards my sisters ZFold3 for switching.

@Mario Medrano Sorry. I've been waiting to see if they would send me another but no dice. Store reps asked me how I got mine though, and at the time ~3-4mos ago, they said they also had insider codes, so you might ask a store rep and see if they have any they can use for you...I think they use it as a deal closer so if you make your new account look attractive then pull back at the last moment and ask about the insider code I think they'd be likely to give you one if they have one available. As someone that tried at least 6 different providers in the last year or so, I found that the biggest reason to change or stay with a single company was how well they covered your area. I tried all 3 of them but only ATT had reasonable coverage in my city so that's the one I went with and I regret nothing. the $300/yearly plan with 16GB is great aside from technical issues requiring corp support, the plan works really well

@@rileyesmay 4G and 5G has rendered CDMA/GSM all but obsolete. In fact, CDMA and GSM towers are being shut down as cell providers have moved to this single technology. AT&T employee here- you can actually get the premium plan for the same price as the extra plan. ANYONE can get this discount either through their workplace, or by signing up for AARP(Which also waives activation fees AND gives you 25% off all accessories in store and also stacks with our buy 2 get 1 free deal). So I actually work as a retail sales consultant for AT&T. There are a couple of things not taken into consideration. One if you work for any major company you will get the premium plan for the mid-tier price. Which we try to find that discount for customers with that taken into consideration makes AT&T premium plan the least expensive. Additionally AT&T offers huge discounts to people who serve in the military, police, fire, or have our fiber internet. AT&T also offers First net which is for first responders and offers a lot of discounts and different benefits then what T-mobile or Verizon offers.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but in the graphic for entry level plans, the T-Mobile essentials plan has 50GB of Premium data. That's a nice comparison; I like Verizon since I have most of these perks I already subscribed to. Just save a lot of money. And the T-Mobile signal is horrible at my place, while Verizon mmWave is accessible almost everywhere. I might swap to T-Mobile if I move to another city. Those perks can be registered in another country through a VPN. Getting Netflix UHD for 5-10dollar/month depends on the region. HBO Max is around $25/year. etc

This was a great video. I really appreciate you taking the time to post a detailed exhaustive comparison of Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile of all their plans. I have been an ATT wireless customer since 2005 when they were Cingular. I have changed their plans but stayed on their service. It ultimately comes down to coverage where you live. It's been great for us at home and when we have traveled across the US and International. I know there are dead spots/areas for every carrier but it comes down to the individual where they are located. I have been considering jumping to T-mobile magenta max for the cheaper deal and all the other free stuff (streaming services) and I am actually test driving it right now with network pass.

It gets even better. Recently my wife and I switched from an MVNO to Magenta Max 55+, since I recently hit that fossilized milestone. It's $90 for two lines, and we no longer pay $15 per month for Netflix. Everything is pretty much realistically unlimited for our use (we won't use 50 GB hotspot data, pretty much ever, though we tend to use it in coffee shops and hotels instead of the less secure and often slower wifi they have). Heck of a deal if T-Mo signals are good where you live, work and play.

I believe T-Mobile Essentials has prioritized data for 50GB unlike what you've stated. It also may be helpful to include what kind of 5G you get from different plans. For example, Essentials on T-Mobile gives customers access to all 5G towers whereas Verizon's equivalent (5G Start) only allows access to 5G Nationwide (not mmWave or C-band 5G). Otherwise, great video!

I have T-Mobile magenta max and I like it. As someone who travels a lot to Mexico and has had experience with all 3 carriers I cannot recommend T-Mobile enough. Verizon is supposed to work in Mexico, we had to call their customer service line 4-5 times before we could actually use our phones in Mexico and when they did service was super slow. AT&T worked fine but the crazy hidden fees without warning almost doubled my bill after my trip to Mexico. With T-mobile I don’t have to do anything and I can use my phone as if I was in the US no extra fee, data slows down after a while but when you are on vacation you really don’t use your phone that much. I do have to say there is a small area where I live that it’s like a black hole for coverage but it’s really small and I’m rarely there so I don’t mind it. I’m happy with T-mobile and since I have the plan with friends I only pay 50 a month with a brand new iPhone 14pro.

I think stateside, it really depends on who provides the best coverage for your area and how much data you use. Right now, I will only go with AT&T or Verizon for stateside coverage and I use a lot of data and also hotspot a lot. International travel for me it's AT&T or T-Mobile but will say coverage in London was better with AT&T though my friend who has T-Mobile paid less, his coverage was spotty in certain areas where AT&T worked well. it does not have service in alaska actually. they partner with a local network called GCI so essentially you are roaming on GCI network if you're with t mobile and in alaska. it severely reduces speeds to a point where you can't even load twitter (I was in alaska for 3 months over summer 2022 that's how I figured it out). so really it is only 49 states as far as I know. tbh I don't know if they do this for any other state or territory in the country

I’m pretty sure with other carriers they all have to be on the same plan . And the point of the 36 month period is to keep your phone payment lower . An iPhone 14 Pro max without a trade is almost $50 p/mth with T-Mobile financing , and with Verizon it’s $30 cause of that 36 . And Verizon let’s you early upgrade iPhones whenever you get to the halfway point of balance paid on your current phone anyways .

It’s all just dependent on what you prefer and what you’re looking for in a plan. For instance where I live, Verizon and ATT are the ones that work best here.
