I don't know that particular sequencer unfortunately. It does have a MIDI out, so definitely capable of sending it to the DRM1, Would need to go through the manuals for both on how to set MIDI channels and all that. Good luck!

A couple of the channels have a reverb type effect. The snare can also do a really convincing acoustic kick sound as well.

No, the trigger version has CV inputs as well as MIDI, the standard version uses MIDI

Sorry new to all this, any recommendations of MIDI controllers for this? Do they all work the same essentially or are some better suited to something like the Vermona? Thanks again!

Its more how you want to use it and how it fits into your setup. For this I was sequencing from Ableton Live, which just requires a MIDI interface and can control it with Push with that setup.

Hi, so I've got the vermona, trying to sequence it with ableton. I haven't got push, so trying to control it just from the software. I've got a USB Midi cable connected from the computer into the vermona's midi in. Nothing into the midi thru. I'm trying to use ableton's inbuilt drum samples as triggers for the vermona, with the aim of putting those samples into a loop on ableton's drum rack, which would then presumably trigger the vermona like you have done here. I can't get the vermona to recognise anything from ableton though, how did you manage this? Thanks.

I'm sending MIDI to it from Ableton using a M-Audio Profire 610. Best to read the manual on how to set the DRM's MIDI channel and what notes the different drums responds to.

How exactly does 3 mono synths compare to what is essentially 8 mono synths? Plus it does things that are not usually found on mono synths.

You answer yourself: here, the potential of the Vermona in underused, precisely because your piece of music is, in my opinion, very simple.

Its a demonstration of the sound of the unit, not a piece of music. However what is being done here could not be done with 3 cheaper monosynths.

I like this. As somebody on the market looking for a drum synthesizer, this does a great job demonstrating some of the sounds that can be created with this instrument. The more I hear this instrument the more I like it. My only challenge is with it's size. But alternatively, what I like best about it is it's size and ease of use. So I'm kind of torn there. As somebody who is not a drummer or too familiar with drum synthesis, the drm1 is very appealing. It's so immediate. Thanks for the great vids.
