Guys, Ken and I loved this episode ALOT!!! It was so much fun to see where Rich worked and the wonderful corner stores. The food looked so good! Ken loved seeing Rich grill the steak. We love it when you do episodes on food trucks. You two are doing great work. 👍

This is Gail from Dell Web and I loved your video on the corner stores! It reminds me of my childhood days in the 40’s when we had these go to stores in suburbs of Buffalo! As much as I love Dell Web and the convenience of the Market Place with outdoor shops it doesn’t replace those good ole Mom and Pop stores for quality, variety and taste!! I also miss the park and fountains in the middle of town creating a focal point of the village. Chautauqua Institution outside of Jamestown New York is the closest I could find in recent Decades.,This is a spot you two should put on your future Americana trips. Chautauqua is as slice of our past still in tact! It will not disappoint! Your music went perfectly with the video and boy did I want that delicious meal!!! I have to catch up on your January videos. January is my slump/down month!!!!

Hi Gail! Thank you so much for watching and the story of your experiences with small Mom & Pop shops. We are very lucky here in Vermont to still have that rural feel with very little "suburbia" so common elsewhere. We have absolutely put Chautauqua on our list of places to travel and thank you for the idea...

Thanks guys! Maybe we can find some local places in western New York when we get together next. We totally missed a great video moment at Willy's. After we shot the scene, one of the ladies came out and said "Hey! It's mittens! We haven't seen you in ages". Yes, I wore red mittens knitted by Cindy for my coffee walk to the corner store...

We are driving home and your video notification popped up on my phone. We enjoyed your classic Vermont video. I will have to write down those names for market stores so that we may do the same for our dinner. We plan on going to Vermont this summer on our way to Maine for the international airstream rally. Thanks for watching as always! We have a cuckoo clock but it is a crappy battery powered version - not the real thing. In the next few years our plan is to rent an RV in Europe and ship back the real deal.

I enjoyed your video because of the flow in your editorial info with video , music content. Mades me want to plan a trip to Vermont plus check out corner markets in Bennington. Thanks for effort. Good to see your work place, is it currently still open, my home town closed manufacturing plant which I was employed there for 37yrs. and then finish at auto manufacturing 5 yrs. I retired in April 2017.

Thanks for watching! Here's a local tip for coming to Vermont - fall is not the only time. Our summers are magical. The plant I worked at made watch and hearing aid batteries for Energizer. Sadly, it has since closed. For me, it allowed for an early retirement. Thankfully, however, other plants in the area are doing real well so the jobs are there for those that need them.
