When judges are practically begging the contestant to pick another judge because they respect the singer to know that’s the right pairing…such maturity. It shows that at times, competition comes 2nd to recognizing when something special occurs.

Performance was AMAZING. I truly believe that Bobby (having a blind family member if I recall correctly) truly wanted the his coach and friend. I’ve seen many articles and videos of Bobby and I believe what the judges said about him just being a good man. Vernon also seems like a good man too. This video brings me to tears every time I watch it
I loudly and wholeheartedly echo all the great comments. That voice of his and his performance was so on point. That in itself was so amazing. Then when I caught the lip quivers bc he felt so humbled by the judges praises, I was blown so far away that even if ya came looking for me you'd never find me. This is what music is all about. When you can bring feelings and emotion out in others like this, you ARE a total fucking ROCKSTAR. When you can help heal inside or bring others together with the gift of your voice, you've made it even if you don't make it famous.
what da f... i have never seen the whole video... seen ever little snaps in ozher videos. ever thought that the first chair is his brother or had another relationship. the fist chair had this emotions only by his singing? this is incredible.
bobby dad's was blind too so all of this hits him hard and karen next him she knows the story of bobby father that's why she support & hug bobby ..at @0:37 when bobby turn ..i think he shocked like he would say (its not fair not again deep in him self ) ..i do not know bobby too and never heard about him but really he & karen touched me with them feelings
I'm going to get yelled at here and some people will think I'm the biggest asshole on earth. I think people get way too emotional over people who have been victimized some how. It is valued too much. Lira said he had a beautiful spirit but she knows nothing about him other than he can sing. Well he's blind so that makes his spirit beautiful. He was also called brave. Blind people live normal lives.
I agree that perhaps it was a slightly ill thought out thing to say, but I keep coming back to this audition because I love his cover and I have listened and have some of his music in my spotufy playlist, that counts for something.
I think she might also mean that he translates emotions well through his music and he connects to the judges and that he has the courage to sing no matter the obstacles in his way. But yes these shows do have a tendency to make people into a hero for singing through X, when they are just normal people who are talented. It can be done in not the best way, but they and the contestants know it sells and works to get viewers.
I think it’s more so the courage to go on stage and sing in front of celebrities, hundreds, maybe even thousands of people, and on tv. It’s harder for people with disabilities because they’re told they can’t,
I agree. I actually can't stand what is called "inspiration porn". People shouldn't get special treatment, or no treatment at all, bc of their disability. Treat us like everyone else.
He was good but not the best Ive ever seen. I think people applauded him a bit more bc of his disability. Which should not be done. Those of us with disbilities live normal lives like everyone else. Special treatment isnt needed.
