I never keep the fish I catch either mate I always return them, nice to see the bass go free. Other people think I'm mad allowing them to fight another day but I'm of the same opinion as you we need to conserve our fish stocks. Like you say it's about the experience the fresh air and just being there doing what you enjoy, it certainly beats the telly. Keep the vids coming mate it's great to watch you out and about doing what all us anglers love whether you're catching or not.
Mate seems like I have been ignoring you but I just haven’t seen any notifications so sorry. Put all fish back but one day I may take one for the table but it will probably be a fish that is badly hooked and is not doing to well. Thanks for your comment it’s much appreciated. All the best Vernon.
So sorry for delay Brian just found were to check for missed comments. Lights were bought of Amazon just search for rechargeable led lights they are on there or cheaper I believe on eBay. All the best mate.
Just checking some old vids . I've been to Salthouse yrs ago when we stopped at Hunstanton. Also fished Cromer pier at night . Didn't catch tho . A Bloke told me best way to fish Salthouse is at night and cast 10yrd out for bass in a gully . There was a house on way to Salthouse that had a bait sign outside too .
Yes I think that chap has passed now believe he lived in cley. Very steep beach for Norfolk there at salthouse. Never seen a gully at low water there but sands always change with tides. All the best happy new year 🥳
@@VernsSeaFishingthe gully is at high water I believe just in front 10yrd out or so . Its was high water when I was there and was very deep . Tackle swept round in a instant .
Cheers , I have watched Martin's videos for a long time and he does alot of fishing. So when I watched his rod break, I thought it was the right thing to do . Now Martin has 3 good rods to fish with, which is nice for Martin. Many thanks for your comment.
Is this the only video you have seen. Best not fish then only way to respect fish. Or I could drag them over the side of a boat to show to camera like others do. Or let them flap about and die on a boat because you might miss catching more fish that’s respect. Or keep undersized fish like others do. Hang them on a set of scales alive pick them up by there gill plates. Is that respecting a fish. All things I don’t do and seemings this is a long time ago my respect for fish has been learned over many sessions. Thanks for commenting and watching I will include cotton wool in my fishing box.
No it was under about 5 cm but i can catch them when they are there sometimes. thanks for comment and supporting the channel with a watch and a comment cheers and stay safe.
Great video Vern, enjoyed all your vids I fish Norfolk beaches and its nice to see places i know also keep meaning to give the humber a go. keep them coming
Love to fish in Norfolk . Grew up in gorleston on sea fishing the river, piers and beaches so when i visit or camp i try to go fishing there. Come give the humber a go but check out catch reports before you come. I keep blanking at minute but then i aren't the best fisherman so you may have more luck than me . All the best Vernon.
Same as you wrt bass verne, ive caught quite a few down here and have put them back even over the limit but they didnt look big enough. Did you do the right thing? Yes.
I will get some fresh mackerel and try but i have never caught a dog fish my whole time fishing. Makes me laugh when people moan about them . They look a great fish and can save the blank. Maybe i am doing something wrong or they just are not in front of me. Thanks for the reply cheers
@@VernsSeaFishing its unusual but i love catching them. They give a solid bite indication, you can feel them when you're reeling in, they are feisty and all different and oh those eyes 😄
