I've never seen Verona before so this is a nice treat to see it through your lens. It looks like a charming and popular city in the summertime. I enjoy outdoor dining in Italy and gazing at the lovely architecture all around the city. Castelvecchio look like the largest castle there. Good morning Jennifer 🙋 ! We had a blast on this Italian vacation ✅ ! It was wonderfully to spend this full day in beautiful Verona City - looking and learning 👩🏼🤝👨🏻 🏰 ⛪️ ☀️ !! The Roman Bridge grabbed my attention, such an amazing historic structure, as is the Castle and the Roman Amphitheater 🏟️ 👀 where the Operas are still staged !! The Juliet house and balcony are of course ‘fake’, the evidence of a real life Juliet is fairly weak 👩🏼🦱; but everyone was having so much fun at this Shakespearean/Verona tourist trap ✈️ 🚎 👩🏼🤝👨🏻👩🏼🤝👩🏻👯🏠 😊!! The views of the river, parks, restaurants and shops were great too; our weather on the day was very good for getting about on foot, not too hot, but nice and sunny 😎👍! Best wishes, cheers, Don 👋 !

The shops are there for the ladies too and there's fabulous architecture. I really like the look of the place and would love to visit myself too. That is such a beautiful place Don, the Roman Bridge was gorgeous and looked well preserved. The architecture of this place is stunning, I loved the little streets and the water areas. Verona is great to explore. I like the atmosphere on the Piazza delle Erbe and the Ponte Scaligero near the Castelvecchio. You have some lovely images. I am sure you had an enjoyable day.

For history buffs Italy must be a wonderland, eh? I would imagine that each and every city has a wealth of old Roman buildings and sites to explore. Those portraits at 3:44 look fascinating, you don't often see something like that. What is apparent is that it is busy, but not too busy, so it must have been an enjoyable trip to go exploring. Wonderful video as always, Don, I enjoyed watching.
Hi Richard 👋 ! Yes the history is there in the street for all to see and marvel at, the Roman remains are fascinating. The portraits are in fact white marble busts set in niches in the wall of the museum. So far I have not worked out who they are depicting. In the center of this piazza stands a large statue of Dante Alighieri - but that doesn’t answer your question 🙄 ! The tourist traps were jumping, but in a friendly way. Once you turned a couple of corners you were in nice quiet streets, lanes and gardens. We were lucky with our weather on this seven day trip, not too hot 👍 ! I have a family connection with this region, my grandfather served here in WW 1, he was stationed in Sirmione, rounding up deserters and sending them back to the ‘front’ in taxis - was one of his stories!! I have not been to Italy, but for some reason this country for me is very important and I am very interested about everything. The only one thing is that most of the time is paced with tourists. I saw that you made some videos of Spain and I have been looking forward to seeing them as soon as I had a chance. You did not disappoint as they have some wonderful views for all to enjoy.
