Jag är japan. Jag kan inte språket, men jag lyssnar alltid på det när jag arbetar. En dag översatte jag och läste texten, och när jag fick veta att det var mycket vackert innehåll, blev jag kär i den här låten. Det är en underbar sång.
I still remember the first time I listened to this song 5 years ago💖 I'm glad Veronica was the first Swedish artist I listed to. Listening to her songs was my inspiration to learn Swedish🇸🇪
You missed so many good artists from Sweden then. I hope you learned more Swedish artists. Sweden produces most successful musicians per capita in the world.
my dj friend says that the ultimate club songs are: jag kommer by maggio, jag är en vampyr by markus krunegård, kom igen lena by håkan hellström, shoreline by broder daniel and dancing on my own by robyn these song NEVER NEVER NEVER fail
”Jag tror jag är kär i taxin, i trappen, i hissen, i hallen”. Personligen tycker jag att det låter krångligt att hålla ihop fyra förhållanden på det sättet.
Okay, storytime: spanish boy here 👋🏼 currently 23...I got to know this song in 2011 thx to Spotify (kinda random) and it reaaaaally became one of my favourite songs...(even tried to introduce it to friends but it didn’t work) - NOW, after years of not hearing it and almost forgotten, a song by Tove Lo comes in shuffle and everything comes back to my mind 😢✨This songs really brings good memories with it ❤️ big hug to all the swedish out there 🇪🇸🇸🇪
I'm beginning to realise that it's mostly Swedes that make good music. You swedes are amazing at making music! So much it baffles me. You have a nation of really talented musicians. Atleast compared to us Danes ;)
It's quite a bold statement from someone who obviously haven't done a lot of research on the subject :D We danes aren't as bad at making musik as you're putting it ^^ I can list several (in my opinion) great danish bands off the top of my head.
BoomCarrot You can't possibly state that i haven't done my research. You don't know me. You don't what kind of music i listen to. And i never said that we were all bad at making music. i know there are some really talented. But how many do we have that are internationally known? And i don't just mean by a few. Many of my favorite bands are danish (Kashmir, Veto, Spleen united to name a few.) But they don't have that great international potential. Just look at the swedes. They spit out one international musician after another.
Which country are you in? Because I have lived in Norway the US and Finland and swedes are not known as the best unfortunately. They have some topnotch musicians but not enough as to be spoken of so highly in my experience.
Sweden/Denmark/Norway always come first in music trends, then the Americans copy them. Literally this 2011 song sounds so fresh and new, but the Swedes have been doing this for years!
Caffeine TRANSLATION :D The night is young and I'm lying awake I am "Lucy in the sky", I'm high above the clouds Yeah, I know she's cute, but hold back Cause I have fallen there, I have fallen, I've woken up Yeah, I know she's cute, but hold back Cause, I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming - I'm almost there I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming now You, hold out You know that I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming Baby, I think I'm in love With the taxi, the stairs, the elevator, the hall I'm falling Falling You and me now Please wait, wait, stay Ten thousand meters up in the air I see everything so clear I know she's cute, but it must be you and me You and me Cause, I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming - I'm almost there I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming now You, hold out You know that I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming Baby, I think I'm in love With the taxi, the stairs, the elevator, the hall I'm falling Falling Oooooooh I'm think I'm falling, I'm falling I'm falling I'm falling In the taxi, the stairs, the elevator, the hall I'm falling Falling (I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming) (I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming) (I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming) You, hold out You know that I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming Baby, I think I'm in love In the taxi, the stairs, the elevator, the hall I'm falling Falling I'm coming, baby, I think I'm in love In the taxi, the stairs, the elevator, the hall I'm falling Falling
I heard this song for the first time when I was 15 or 16 but at that time i wasn't interested in foreign songs (im Japanese) But after couples of years i found this song again and now I realized that I'm obsessed with this.
Jag kommer = im coming Jag är nästan där = im almost there Jag faller = im falling Jag tror att jag är kär = i think im in Love Shes basically talking about a love interest.
Jävlar i min låda va bra denna video va!! Känner igen mig i hur svårt det kan va att göra vissa saker, nästan som att golvet och tyngdkraften är emot en, när man är kär eller berusat på annat sätt. Mycket kärlek till artister som kan förmedla känslor som Maggio lyckas göra!
All the new non-swedes arriving here because of Tove Lo's cover: you guys have to check some of Veronica's other songs like Måndagsbarn and Sergels Torg! Veronica Maggio is one of the biggest artists in Sweden, literally everyone in Sweden knows who she is and/or heard her songs in parties.
I'm brazilian and I'm studyin' the swedish language ... I love this country and I like to study by Veronica's lyrics ! I looove heavy metal, but the most part of swedish bands sing in english, so I have to study lyrics of pop artists ... I like Veronica's songs a lot !!! Kram !
There's hope. Sabaton, Raubtier, Imperiet, Ebba Grön for example sing in Swedish. There are tons more. I once found a database on the internet with over 700 listed Swedish metal bands (most in english though), I just can't find it again. You can also engine search for posts on swedish forums specifically asking for swedish music in swedish to share. I found like 15 metal bands, can't remember most of them though, it was for someone else who asked the same question.
You can browse for swedish artists there, chart musics there. You can also search on google for swedish charts, there are a lot of english songs but also swedish songs. I also recommend Stiftelsen, singer is the same of Takida, but he sings in swedish in Stiftelsen.
I'm going to learn Swedish by listening to her songs. The pacing is just right for a beginner like me. And I get to enjoy absolutely great music in the meanwhile.
I don't speak Swedish but my Swedish friend told me that I should listen to Veronica Maggio. I really love Jag Kommer, Kurt Cobain, and Nöjd. She's such a great and talented singer.
Yeah and the lyrics are almost the exact same as the original, only translated, throughout the whole cover! Only difference is that Tove Lo says she is "queen of the clouds", while the original is "high above the clouds".
For me it only has one meaning and its the obvious one. Ffs, she sounds like she is literally climaxing while singing that she's coming... And the other things mentioned in that context with the elevator and the various places only furthers that. Was tormented by this song on the radio as a teenager when i was in the car with my mom. Was fcking embarrassing.

Very good translation, although "Cause I have fallen there," I'd put as "I have fallen for it," "Jag har trillat dit" is a phrase with a specific meaning which isn't quite literal
