Hello, I am a Roman Catholic and I believe in the real presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar. I went down to pray before Jesus in our Adoration Chapel which had a Tabernacle and a bar which came out from back to front of the Tabernacle and on the front of it held the Blessed Sacrament itself, Jesus Christ, and one of the visions I was shown was a vision of a man digging a hole in a Field and hiding a Treasure in that hole in the Field, A reminder of one of Jesus' Parables.Another one was one of a Tree with its branches spreading out and Birds of the air coming on to the Tree and resting on its branches, Doesn't that mean we should come to Jesus and rest in his company and we will experience a Treasure to help us in our lives , Noel Smyth.

Faith without works James 2 passage is in the context of discipleship and not salvation, its a contradiction to say "we are not saved by works, "BUT" faith without works is dead (if what you are referring to by "dead" = no salvation. , you are conflating two scriptures contexts and confusing babes in Christ, the simplicity of the gospel is simple and Paul warned the churches to not be stumbled by false doctrine and those who try and mix law and grace together. Repentance = greek word for metanoia which means to change your mind, in the context of true salvific biblical repentance what it is saying is change your MIND from UNBELIEF in Christ alone as your savior (aka trusting in yourself, trusting in your law keeping, trusting in your "turning from sins") and BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus Christs finished redemptive work on the cross for remission of your sins. The gospel is the same today as it was 2000 years ago and it will never change, we are justified by GRACE alone through FAITH alone in CHRIST alone.
