I just realized I forgot to mention my least favorite product! It’s the Vitamin C Powder! It’s hard to figure out how much to use and it changes the texture of the product you mix it with. Hope this video was helpful!
I love the vitamin c powder. There’s definitely a learning curve for what you mentioned, but for the products it does play well with - an amazing concept. The extra vitamin c boost without adding another serum/treatment is why I love it so much. Love you Susan!
i literally just searched this up because i thought you might have a review on this brand. the shock i felt when i realized that this was literally 10 minutes ago and just right when i needed it lol
I think the skincare "treat" perception you have comes partially from the minimal-but-cute pastel packaging & the fact that it's sold at Target instead of Walgreens or CVS. I used to work at Target, Target's philosophy toward customers involves giving shoppers a semi-luxury shopping experience at a low price point. That's why most Targets have an aesthetically pleasing store layout, are kept well-lit, very clean, and organized. There are always more employees on the salesfloor (to assist you) at Target than there are at places like Walmart and they will always be courteous and helpful. I don't know if it'll prove to be a successful business model in the near future but it's worked for them so far. Some people prefer the Target experience to shopping at Walmart, even if Target's prices are slightly higher.
I had this very thought when I first bought Versed products 😆 what’s interesting to me though is even when I know I’m a victim to marketing... I almost don’t mind. I still enjoy being “wooed” by it if you will lol (wonder what the psychology is behind that 🤔 lol)
I really LOVE Baby Cheeks 😍. I'm on the Versed hype train. I do shake mine every time before using it and I use it as a moisturizing toner after double cleansing. My skin drinks up that coconut water and it really plumps my face.
@@earthboundblueprint I saw she mentioned that she didn't like the vitamin C powder. Luckily the brilliance boost serum made it on the good list! (I edited my comment to specify the serum, I didn't even realize there was a powder when I made the comment.) I'm trying it for the first time today so hopefully I get some good results!
Hi Susan! I really hope you see this comment. It would be really great if you could team up with Dr. Desai and make a video about how to prevent acne or deal with acne that happens after going off birth control. It's an issue that makes a lot of women scared to stop the pill and even often pushes them into going back on it. Thanks for the amazing and consistent content even during such stressful times!
Could you continue the reviewing of affordable brands, like Good Molecules?? They have a cleansing balm, exfoliating powder, and tons of serums that look really interesting! Love all your content, thank you!
yesss i've been waiting for this review! and yeah the cleansing balm and Nix it were a fail for me. especially if you think about the price per ounce, Versed cleansing balm ($7,82 per oz) is not that much cheaper than Clinique ($7.89 per oz) or Drunk Elephant ($8,76 per oz) and is also much smaller. i'd also choose Glossier Zit Stick over the Nix it.
I agree with the price comment. I was thinking of replacing my REN toner for the Versed one because it is cheaper, but after I did the math I realized the REN one is actually the cheap one!!
I was glad to hear Susan’s opinion on the cleansing balm. The versed cleansing balm was the first one I have tried and I just figured a cleansing balm or a cleansing oil wasn’t for me. Hearing her opinion on this encourages me to try a different brand! I love the versed moisturizer though. It’s one of my favorites! Bought it as a dupe for the drunk elephant protini. It’s note quite a dupe but I still live it!
This was sooo helpful. I'm embarrassingly just starting to take care of my skin and can't afford expensive products since I'm still figuring out what works for me
Nooooo...I just bought the Versed Cleansing Balm the other day. It's my first time purchasing one so I really don't have anything to compare it to. I remember thinking Susan would be so proud that I'm doing the double cleanse. :-)
On a whim i bought the Versed night cream today at Target. Glad to hear Susan gives it a good review. Looking for a lighter night cream so excited to try it tonight!
I would love to see a review like this on the Tula skincare line! New subscriber here and have been watching so much of your content the past few weeks. It is so informative and helpful and makes me want to develop a good, strong, healthy skincare routine!
I love Versed products. I recommend it to a lot of my clients since the skincare at the spa I work at is $30 and up for most products. Edit: I would also love your opinion on their overnight peel. I personally love it, but I’m just incorporating more actives into my routine as my skin is finally calming and strengthening.
I absolutely loved the weekend glow tonic, i have really stubborn old acne scars and in the past 2 month that i've been using it, I feel like it has helped resurface my skin and helped lighten acne scars. Not a huge crazy difference overnight but definitely significant difference on newer stubborn spots. I fell like it does give you a "glow". I would recommend it to anyone who is on the market for affordable (gentle) toners that have acid in them. Hope this helps someone!
Yes! I had that exact same experience with the lip oil. I would apply it, and at first it felt fine, but within minutes it was like it had disappeared and left my lips even drier. No slip, not pleasant to use. I'm like you, Susan, I like something that feels thick and occlusive. I gave the lip oil a few tries, but it was a no for me. But I did also really like the retinol serum (almost done with my first tube) and you've given me ideas for other things I want to try.
I will say her comment about the SPF pilling under makeup is very true. First time I tried it, I really enjoyed it. The second time I applied it, I applied makeup over and it pilled quite badly... so def recommend if going makeup free but don’t recommend if you want to wear makeup on top 👍
I personally thought the cleansing balm did a fine job at removing makeup, however I wont re-purchase it because the tub is so small! For the cost it's not worth it at all! I've also been using Dew Point and its a totally fine gel moisturizer but i really don't feel it does anything extra for my skin. Again, for their prices, their product amounts should be way more. I truly feel like theyre getting away with "high end" price points, but it's masked by small amounts of product for less. It's just like buying a high-end product in a travel size.. you feel like you're saving money but in the end it's not cost effective. However.. I do really appreciate that there is a brand at target that you can count on being fragrance free, cruelty free, and have decently thought-out formulas. But it does make me sad because I really feel like they could afford to make their products cheaper. They use minimal packaging to be eco-friendly which is awesome, but shouldn't that bring their cost down? Anyway..just my thoughts.
I tend to get on the oily side and I sweat a lot during the spring and summer months. So I love the Versed Dew Point Moisturizing Gel Cream for the spring and summer. It is a light moisturizer but it still does a good job of moisturizing the skin unlike a lot of lightweight moisturizers.
When you say "darker skintones" are you referring to pale/tan skintones - not black skin tones? I hear alot of people say "darker skintones" but then tend to mean anything up to tan so it'd be nice to get clarification.
I agree with Susan on the cleansing balm. I love cleansing balms and im a snob for cleansing balms. It takes a lot to remove my eye makeup. I love the smell and feel but it doesn't a lot though. Now im just using it up so I don't waste
What is the difference between a toner and essence? I heard from another RU-vidr that toner is useless if you just have a good cleanser. Would love to hear your take on this! Love your videos❤️
Thank you for this brand review! I'm starting to revamp my skin care routine and I have had my eye on Versed recently. I'm looking forward to trying the dew point moisturizer and the gentle retinol serum! 🤗✨
Thanks for the review! I asked last week in the private Facebook group if anyone had tried the Versed spf and it's great to see a review. I felt the same way about the baby cheeks toner, but I really like their brightening toner and wanted to try more of their products.
Is the Facebook group you are talking about one that will allow other skin care junkies in by chance? Or is it a private group of friends? If it’s open to others, id love to join it if you wanna leave the link!
Love the Review! I had seen this line at target and was undecided if I should purchase it or not. That’s actually what drew me in was the packaging and a good price point. Thank you for clearing up some of my curiosity on a few of the products. 👍🏼
I love how Susan loves all of the products I do and doesn't like all of the products I've chosen not to use just from an ingredient standpoint from Versed. Ingredients don't lie y'all!
I love a good cleansing balm/cleansing oil! I’ve tried them all from the ordinary to Tacha and everything in between! By far the beat I’ve ever tried is from Etsy- Bay Harbor Beauty’s cleansing balm! It’s so concentrated and actually continues to work as a cleanser when water is added. Most cleansing balls breakfast down too fast with a tiny addition of water! But BHB cleansing balm is still easy to wash off but really continues to clean with added water! Love it! And amazing price too.
I would love to see some reviews on brands like Mario Badescu, Rituals and Kiehls. Love this video, I was going to get the cleansing balm from Versed but I'm glad I went with the Rituals one instead! ❣
I just started using the skin soak and love it! My skin tends to be on the dryer side and this definitely is a great moisturizer to sleep in and wake up hydrated.
Thank you for all your videos!! I love them. ☺️ If possible, I’d love a full Murad review - specifically the brightening kits that target hyperpigmentation (I have melasma - which I’ve watched your videos on too!). 💕
Susan, can you do a review on Eau Thermale Avène? For dry skin? I love their facial mist...it really has done wonders for my skin in my daily routine. Every time I try other facial mists, my skin misbehaves, and straight back to Avène I go. Just curious on how you feel about their products in general. They seem to concentrate on restoring the skins lipid layer & I know you’re big on that. I have very dry skin...so I’m always looking for the best. I love Holi Frog, Estée Lauder, Avène, CosRX & Laneige products...some Caudalie. Of course I double cleanse with a cleansing balm, never ever use facial wipes 🤮 and sunscreen always! My daughter is 15 and I am so proud that I have instilled in her great skin care.
just wondering if anyone else in the comments has used the Versed Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream and if its worth buying, im interested i purchasing as my 'night time' kind of cream for normal/dry skin. great vid susan thanks for the review!
So far I’m loving the versed face cleanser for dry skin .. and it’s the 1st soap that I’ve used that didn’t turn my face dry after washing it .. and I’ve used a a lot of different soap from high we end items
Awww Susan I disagree with the cleansing balm😣, I love it (combo skin). Worked way better for me than the Caudalie cleansing oil. I use the Versed cleansing balm on dry skin, then proceed to using my cleanser.
Did you every try the Versed Weekend Glow Daily Brightening Solution? The ingredient list looks AMAZING but I'm worried it might be too harsh on my skin with all the actives in it. I would love to know your opinion on it!
I totally should have listed to you about the cleansing balm. It's a dislike and a no for me as well. But it happened to be part of a kit so thought I'd try it anyway, even though I watched your video first. Thanks for your product reviews!
I absolutely hate their cleansing balm. It was sooooooo fragranced and it irritated my skin so much and it’s taken a week to get my skin under control again. I do like the milky cleanser though
I'm glad I saw this before I bought the cleansing balm, I would love an inexpensive cleansing balm list ! I've used Farmacy and loved it but want to try some $20 or less balms from Ulta/Target
Try the emergency eye mask, Susan! One of the brand’s keepers. I totally agree with you on the lip oil... didn’t find it moisturizing what so ever. I really enjoy the body oil, but only bc I’ve never tried any other one before. Any suggestions on more luxurious body oils?
