We've made a lot of improvements in this update, but there are seven changes in particular you should know about.
We optimized the back-end so that the analytics no longer crash for sites with hundreds of thousands or millions of views. We also optimized the REST API request on the front end to load much faster.
Up until now, traffic from Google showed up in one row, whether it was from organic clicks or paid clicks. Now, we separate Google Ads traffic from Google and label traffic from the Google Display Network.
For our PRO users with WooCommerce, we added a new Order Referrer box in the Orders menu, showing where the buyer came from.
We also added a new option to refresh the visitor salt token, which allows for stricter adherence to the GDPR.
For developers, we launched the first version of our API, which allows you to get stats for your site (and individual pages) from anywhere else on your website.
Lastly, we added a new changelog notification into the sidebar, making it easier to stay updated with the changes made in each release
