I am now age 70. I wish I could have lived my entire aviation life over again, starting from 1968 when I firsted soled about 10 days before Neil and Buzz landed on the moon. But in the end, I thank God for the aviation life I have experienced. I would not have given it up for any other lifestyle.
VERTEX - Great shop with enjoyable people. Couldn’t find a part for my 182Q defrost mechanism and so they had it 3D printed. Get-er-done mindset. Very fortunate to have on my home field.
Dear Backcountry182: You are a great "backwoods expert" on how to land airplanes in the backwoods. I envy your aviation lifestyle. If I had not raised a family and put two kids through college, I also probably would have chosen the alternative, that is, to fly as you did with your backwoods experience. I would have loved to have lived a similar lifestyle. But our Lord had other plans for me.
