okay, it sounds silly but still.. when i wanted to do this effect with my clips which are in the middle of my project, it didn't work. afterwards, i decided to put these clips in a new comp and make the effect there as i did it in the tutorial - it worked (then i just render them & put finished clips in a project). cause when i do this in a new comp it always works, so who knows.. maybe it will help somehow lol

if i got you right, then press 'u' to open your keyframes move your amplitude 0.00 keyframe a bit closer to your 0.200. i mean, that distance between them should be for 2-3 secs (? as you wish, tbh) it also depends on the duration of your clip.

it gets easier after u learn basics, u got this

just make 'y shake' settings to 0.00, i guess

don't really know about that. you may use motion blur & rsmb to make them more blurry (?)

oh, are you sure that you've followed all steps attentively? cause i haven't described some little things that are also very important. maybe you should try again to do it? sometimes it really helps, i know this by my own experience haha. otherwise, i don't how to help :(
