It is nice when you can run a system fully loaded long enough to tune and adjust it properly.

The startup guys around here turn it on and for the hills. That's for all equipment, boilers, chillers, etc. Good times.

Bro, we had DB come to a site of ours for startup. A property group subbed us to do the install of just the chiller. The controls in the plant were toast. DB signed off on the startup for the property management group and released it w no tower fan control, no condenser pump control, and no condenser head pressure control for low ambient. Lost that machine in tree weeks. Oil logged and locked rotor on compressor one.

Have you ever experienced air cooled screw chiller got low suction pressure when it switching to next chiller. There is more than 10 chillers and got same alarm when we try to switching to next chiller. I am assuming water flow problem. Cuz i can see water differential pressure down but never goes to under limit. It’s kind of commissioning for data center chiller. They want to test chiller on as rough as possible environment

On-the-fly tuning doesn't give me all the warm and fuzzy feelings when I'm starting up a chiller. I

Why would you risk voiiding the warranty by messing with the settings? You could have just called back the factory rep to do it for free.
