Features are always somewhat subjective. I do like how you compared the features in a head-to-head style. Made it much easier to understand the differences.
It is hard to find the "perfect" pack, because so many features and things are so subjective. I feel like I need a build-your-own pack company. Like build-a-bear, but for packs and bags.

Great video! I recently just purchased the dead letter sling seems to be a bit larger which I plan on using EDC I can throw my laptop in it's pretty cool I'm a big fan of vertex bags
Nice. I have the EDC Courier bag, which Vertx doesn't make any more. It was the predecessor to the Dead Letter bags, I think. It has been my go-to work laptop bag for years.
I have the HAZARD 4 SWITCHBACK, I really like it a lot for it's features and it's benefits. When it comes to riding on the train, bus or hiking, the HAZARD 4 SWITCHBACK is the answer.
The Sidewinder/Switchback (it's the same bag, the name just changed) is a good bag. I have switched to using a Vertx Commuter when I use a sling bag because it fits my needs a little better, but my Sidewinder has gotten plenty mileage, and traveled out of the country too. It is almost the exact size for a carry-on bag on most airlines. Glad you are loving yours, it is a good choice for sure.
Even though you complain about the compression straps, they also help hold your items in and put less strain on the zippers. I think the expandability/customizability of the Hazard 4 is a win for me, and the Hard Points is cool feature.
Their newer bags and hard shells are definitely cool. It I could rationalize getting another bag, I would love to try out the Pillbox or the Blastwall.
