I like videogames that are sometimes set in the Vietnam War era cause it’s an interesting conflict during the Cold War,and I also like the fact that Treyarch added music from the Era to fit the Vietnam war style
When im see This game.. im very sad about colonialized.. the colonialized in game and We are from Southeast Asia specifically Vietnam ... like the villains in this game ... even though the Vietnamese people just want to defend their homeland ... it's really irony to be made into a game and shown how to kill local people ...
Well it was a civil war no? The people of South Vietnam was defending themselves as well against the North Vietnamese. If there wouldn't have been a civil war with one side being communist USA wouldn't have any reason to go there. Of course its a complex thing but the reality was at the time there was two Vietnam, one side fighting the other side.
From the standpoint of being Vietnamese but I have to admit that every COD version is great and this one too, but I have to refuse to play this version because the producer put the battlefield context in my home country. When I saw the title of the game to play, I knew that I was holding a gun to shoot my fellow citizens even though this was a game ... Thank manufacturers for bringing a true perspective on the Vietnam War! Great game more like this please with the awesome advanced graphics , weapons from that era are best to keep it authentic and realistic , I'd buy games like this in a heartbeat , keep these type of games coming .
I'm in viet nam. And I am proud to say that we won the war game. It shows that was not easy to kill many viet Công soldiers like that. Jungle was the fear to American army

There’s no Call of Duty after this one that topped it, I love the realistic battle and combats... I don’t like that they are jumping to more unrealistic guns and technological things.. I would kill for remastering this game on ps4😭😭
I've been studying alot about this time era and the war itself even though you need more then brute strength to "win" a war because no one really wins at the end of a war now it was true no amount of firepower the us dropped into the NVA and TNLF *viet cong* troops but not a single time during all of it they ran the American forces off the battlefield so to me it truly was a "draw" and to the most part I would side with the north because of the history of this country itself love this world and all its people
Despite the fact that I played this mission almost a decade ago I remember this mission like it was yesterday that I played it. I am gonna try make a map in far cry 5 based on this mission
No matter how good USA government in games, movies etc. In fact they lost the invasion of Vietnam. And reality, even many american strongly opposed to join war in Vietnam.
many opposed the war later on, but at the beginning a lot of people were signing up for the war. i think (For the US) through the entire war only 25-30% were drafted in Vietnam, while during ww2 at least 60% were drafted.

Spoiler: Only Mason, Woods, Bowman and the rest of the US soldiers there, Reznov is dead already in the mission called "Vorkuta" while escaping the prison with Mason and soviet prisoners. Mason thought Reznov still alive and fighting along side him. But Reznov never be there. Reznov such a good friend to Mason. Edit: this is Call of duty black ops (2010)

The govt. drops the soldiers into the battlefield as if they were born to die like pawns. Screw the govt and screw the war. RIP to those brave soldiers who laid their life on line.
USA won the war. It's not about ground war and battles, It's about money and companies. Look at modern Vietnam now and see the example. All of them is acting like an American, wearing and eating like an American.
