This is an amazing tutorial. I was going to take my girls to get their hair braided at a shop but wondered if maybe I could do it myself, I braid their own hair already but struggled adding hair. I kept coming across videos that told me to use the third way but split my real hair which made it not look neat and sloppy. But this time it's so tight! I really wanted to like this video but it's just not showing me what I expected to see based on the description. I don't plan to weave in any new hair / extensions as I make box braids on my child's hair. I was hoping to learn how to start them and make them look tidy at the beginning without the added bits. This is a great video, just not what I was hoping to see. Maybe people generally don't do box braids without adding in extra hair? Hmmm.
