I sewed a low back open backless sundress from a tutorial that I found online. The backless sundress tutorial was so easy to follow, and it only calls for four cut pieces of fabric to sew this dress. There was no sewing pattern used to make this dress. You only need a few tools and some fabric to sew a gorgeous low back sundress. I share some of the steps that I took to make this dress, and I also share how I wore this dress that is made in rayon tencel fabric from Joann Fabrics.

It’s incredibly easy to make, and I love that because I had been wanting a dress like this. If you decide to make one, i can see this being a cover up over a swimsuit too, which is how I think the young lady on the blog may have been wearing hers. Thanks again!!!

Is it a one-size fits most type deal? Or would you say like S-L?

I would say small to large. Some adjustments came be made by shortening or lengthening the straps and taking in or out the side seams if needed.

Fantastic dress! thanks so much for a great tutorial. I made a similar dress sans ruffle using Kwik Sew's k3610 which uses a facing and the finishing of edges isn't as nice as your process here. Definitely making this ASAP!

Do you think they have the back a straight rectangle because it help with the side of the dress so the side of the bra don’t show?? It gave it more material causing the dress to hang different??
