My preference is hot water extraction for residual and vlm for commercial. That being said vlm for residual is still a great method

Vlm is great on commercial carpet but HWE would work also. I prefer vlm for commercial unless HWE is necessary.

Another question. What are thoughts on using a second vacuum after cleaning up the soil with the bonnet pads? You know to get additional soil up. I didn't know if that was doing too much.

I started out with VLM and then expanded. Most of my residential and commercial customers still prefer VLM over HWE.
