You missed a few scenes that helps us understand the story. The tyrant was the boy that saved Dimash in the beginning. The girl was indeed Dimash's wife. The little girl that was killed was Dimash's daughter. The baby that was born close to the end was Dimash's son and the Dimash at the end was the son grown-up. Thank you for your sincere reaction, by the way, Dimash did sing this live at his Almaty concert on Sept. 2022, and also at the Congress of the Leaders of World & Traditional Religion Congress! Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was shot in the arm, many people don’t realize that? When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least! 😥 Dimash has worked hard for 3 years on this MV, and it turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE, for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts in trying to bring the world together in love, peace and unity. He is a Legend and will go down in History. This is my interpretation only: The mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, 1) Dimash, who was drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, the one who saved Dimash, and who became the leader, and who was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son at the end…, they were all torn by the war. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. His wife was pregnant and was giving birth at the same time as Dimash found his daughter dead. Wife died at childbirth. Baby boy grew up to be just like his father. ( A leader).

You really need to watch this again, maybe a few times to actually get the story. The boy that almost drowned became Dimash, the boy that saved him became the Dictator & the girl became Dimash's wife & they had a little girl (the one the soldier killed) & were expecting another child (the woman giving birth). When Dimash went back to his home he found his whole family dead & assumed his wife & baby were too so he went to stop the Dictator, his old friend, sacrificing himself as he thought he'd lost everything. The baby at the end was given the mothers necklace because she died giving birth. The Dimash at the end is the grown baby (his son) who grew to become the leader of all nations/religions in the quest to stop war. Dimash wrote the story, composed the music and did the screenplay & it has taken him 3 years to complete. I think you'll agree it is a masterpiece & the whole world should see this. He actually did the first live performance infront of religious leaders at a conference/meeting if them & received a standing ovation from them all. He then performed it live at his Almaty concert last month & there is some fan cam videos of this on RU-vid. His love performance did not disappoint. It was amazing! Smiling. I don't know if this is the protagonist "on the other side" , continuing the life journey, or the protagonist's son leading all humans toward light. ( I think the first). We all "wear" the values that have been passed down to us. Sometimes they are bent and twisted when they are given to us. Sometimes we warp and damage them ourselves. I don't think the protagonist would smile when he felt he had to STOP the madness by killing the person who used to be his childhood friend, the person who had once SAVED HIS LIFE. Sometimes we have beliefs and values that we hold close. They were given to us by people we love and trust. We might come to realize those teachings or values are bent or twisted. Will we make the repairs? We only have to choose to do it. Our pride and desires can make us not want to change. Some don't even know their compass is damaged. If our beliefs hurt the Earth or people, it is damaged. We might have to destroy some old beliefs within ourselves if we want to choose to live by values that support Life. Earth. Peace.

The paradox and problem lies in the fact that even if we decide to give a fair rebuff to the forces of evil, as the adult character Dimash does in the video, we often use the same methods and tools as the forces of evil. But thus, those who resist evil, in fact, also betray the ideas of humanity and peace. This is a dilemma - for those of us who did not start the war, who do not support the war, but are forced to react in some way in order to protect ourselves and those we love. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against? The answer to this seemingly insoluble question is quite simple. The problem is that over the millions of years of its existence, mankind has not found a way to keep evil under control. Do you know why? Because this is not a problem of mankind, but of man. This is a problem for each of us. Crying for the loss of a beloved child and crying for the birth of a new life are presented in the video as a call and a response, reminding us that both death and birth are God's sacraments and that both of these sacraments are woven into the tapestry of the universe and our mortal life. We have no control over birth or death. Each of us can only influence life - our own, someone else's. And it depends on our actions what will become more in this world, good and light or evil and darkness.
