In a word, NO. You can't build bridges to protect against people who drink and drive, people who are depressed, young people showing off, and people in too big a hurry to be cautious. Maybe you should write the auto manufacturers. After all, they have cars now that can come at your beck and call, let you know if you are swerving into another lane, or getting too close to the car in front. Maybe they can install breakaway windows or include oxygen tanks.

@@susangreene9662 I don't know if we need to go to that extreme however they can definitely puts sensors in the bridge that would let first responders nowhere vehicle landed and how fast it was going the time it fell off the bridge which are all aspects that will give a good indication to start looking in a specific spot.
