Appreciate the full review. Heard so much about Vessel golf bags but just couldn't afford one at the moment. They're quality and style is unmatched IMHO and pockets galore which I love especially the magnetic rangefinder pocket with velour lining. Also the internal base divider reducing club jam is a big plus. Thank you for the giveaway opportunity 🤞😎🤞 This would be so amazing to use on the course if I'm lucky enough 🔥🔥🔥
@@modrngolf hmm I play 14 clubs and currently have the ping hoofer lite, clubs fit fine however pulling them out is like pulling teeth. I carry 4 times a week and ping has had the best carry straps I’ve found. I’m assuming vessel is comparable, however they actually have solved the club snag issue which is big for me. I would go the route of the players 4 but I feel like it’s too bulky for carrying a ton? Or am I wrong ?
@@modrngolf I can see how the dxr would be the lighter most efficient scratch/stain resistant however I have beat up bags I can use for that case still. I want one bag that’s premium leather and high quality. I think vessel is the only option. Titleist has the link masters and taylormade I think has vessel Sunday option. I don’t personally want a golf brand on it.
When I ordered the Pro version of this bag, I already had three other golf bags, including a very nice Stitch bag. Since receiving it, I haven’t touched the other bags even once. The Vessel Players IV Pro DXR is simply phenomenal. It’s become my favorite golf bag by a long shot. For anyone wondering, the Pro 14-way DXR accommodates midsize grips no problem.
How do you adjust the straps? I don’t see where the slider works to lengthen/shorten the straps. Also, can you remove a strap to make single strap? I have this bag and don’t think the clips come out from the “V” circle on the straps to make single strap. Lastly, does it feel too heavy to carry?
Straps are adjustable- super easy to adjust while even walking. I think it’s the best Vessel bag to walk with that has all the bells and whistles. Maybe I’ll do a video on the best way to adjust the straps. Thanks for the comment!!
Nice review - those clubs are really sticking out per the previous comments about the bag being short. How do you carry that bag on the course without the clubs falling out?
hey thanks for the great review there aren't maybe reviews of these on here. I've been trying to choose which to buy between the dxr pro or the player 4 pro. I never carry tbh but like the benefit of the stand while waiting for my buggy in summer and will be using an electric trolley in winter so either will work but maybe the more durable dxr is the winner although I love the navy player 4 pro it's very classy looking. I noticed you don't have the pro version in either is there a reason why?
Great questions. I don’t feel the need for the extra space and my grips fit fine in the standard. Either bag will do great- but the DXR is a bit tougher material. Thanks.
I'm in Ireland and the dxr pro is only available in 6 way top and my last 2 bags have been 14 so this is swaying me towards the standard pro as I need the extra space and like the velvet top
Nice review!! Vessel makes such a great bag!! I have a Vessel / Cobra RAD stand bag and I love. So nice I only use it when I play a nicer course with caddies.
Caddies hate walking up to a group and seeing a Vessel bag that’s not one of the smaller ones. Seen fights over caddies trying not to get the Vessel. Fuckers are heavy….
Great review! Only issue I’ve ever had with vessel bags, is that they’re short, and iron shafts always stick way out. Wish they would make the bags a bit longer so the irons just rest up against the top, and don’t clank around so much Also, not a huge fan of the new chrome logos above the handle, but that’s just my own personal preference…other than that, they’re great bags!
This drives me nuts too. I can't think of a reason why manufacturers wouldn't make bags taller besides for minimal weight savings. Heres to hoping any future vessel releases get a little bit taller
Is the club divider system noticeably larger? Their website says it is a bigger divider on the pro dxr. Need it for midsize grips. The old one didn't take midsize grips well.
