Veselin Anastasov Stoyanov (Веселин Анастасов Стоянов) (20 April 1902 in Shumen - 29 June 1969 in Sofia) was a Bulgarian composer.[1] In 1937 he began teaching and later became professor of music theory courses at the National Academy of Music (Bulgaria). Stoyanov raised the level of music theory teaching in Bulgaria. It's Stoyanov's First Symphony in B minor (1962). The recording itself dates back to the 1960s, on the Balkanton label, preformed by the Bulgarian Television and Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Vasil Stefanov.
fan fact : he was beaten to death with kaval by his ex student, authorities did everything to hide it but the story leaked through the wife of a doctor who did the autopsy
