My sweet mommy Clara loved this amazing song. She died in January 2024. She was 89 years old. I love you mom, everything is okay. 🩷 How i wish i could listen to this song with you one more time. I can’t wait to see you again one day with Jesus in glory!

I came across this video just this week, and had never heard of Vestal Goodman before. Tonight I asked my mother if she knew of her, and she told me that my older sister Joy (who went home to be with Jesus 11 years ago) had been friends with Mrs. Goodman. Small world! What an amazing gift from God Vestal and Dottie both were. Good ol’ music like this is just what this world needs to be hearing right now.

I don't know the exact date I wrote that comment, but mom must have been called home right afterwards...she passed away on Dec 30, 2022. I'm sure there was quite a reunion in Heaven for her, my dad (they were married for 61 years), and my sister Joy.

I grew up listening to these songs being played in our home. I’m now 63 and I long to go home to be with Jesus some may disagree and that’s all right. I know by the times we are living in it can’t be much longer. No one knows the day the Lord will come but we can clearly see the signs how close we are. God Bless everyone

Oh how I love Vestal... I pray that someday my husband will come to the Lord, I try talking to him about it and he doesn't want to hear it, I told him since I have known Jesus, my heart feels so complete and he asked me "why then do you cry when you talk about him or listen to music? and I told him, "Oh hunny, those are not tears of sadness, they are tears of joy, I can feel Jesus, and there is no better feeling in this world than being embraced by my savior"... ... I just continue to pray for him, and I know one day he will come to know Jesus the way I do and then he will understand my "tears"...... Hallelujah!!!!

My husband and I were not Christians when we married. Shortly after I got saved. I prayed for my husband for 10 years before he came to the Lord. Now he loves him as much I do. We have been married 47 years we were very young when we married. Never give up just trust God. I used to sing in a choir at church and would always go to the altar when our Pastor would give an altar call. He would tell me “Don’t you give up, God hears your prayers. Keep looking across the congregation and someday your husband will be sitting out there.” Sure enough God was faithful to His word!

My mom loved the Lord with all her heart and died early at 51. As a small child I would see her in the kitchen doing dishes and she would be singing this old song. My how I miss her tonight. Hug your living loved ones and tell them how much you love them because when the Lord takes them home it will change you forever. I am 65 now but I still remember her singing this like it was yesterday. May this song bring you hope and comfort!

Oh my LOrd you are so good to us by giving us these anointed singers I cannot even express in words how the Lord is speaking to me through this song oh my LOrd how blessed I am for you to love and to know me and be my Good Father which art in heaven and making it all possible by the precious gift of your precious son Jesus of Nazareth through His precious blood that atoned us to a just and holy God now our Father.....and left us with the Holy Ghost showing us the Father and the son through His word and His spirit.....thank you precious Vestal and so so precious Dottie who wrote some of the most anointed songs ever......thank you LOrd for them and their lives how they touched me and others cannot wait till I can see them and be with them forever......love you LOrd so much for saving me and keeping me all these years.....

Many of us don’t consider ourselves “religious” as it’s so often thought on or rather associated with legalism and harsh strictness and rules rules rules or hell. The Jesus I knows, knows I’m human and a complete mess or there would have been no reason for his salvation in the first place. The law has been fulfilled by him and now all we need to do is accept him and repent and acknowledge in our hearts as “the lord sees the heart” he knows even the things we don’t want him too, he just wants us to willingly come and lay it at his feet willingly. We have free will because he’s just and he’s not a puppeteer he created us for him and to live with him, not for him to control 100% even though he has every ability. He wants us, he wants a relationship with us, he cares for us and that’s why he created us and even preserved his creation even during a time he completely wiped it all away… he still wanted us and that’s why he warned Noah to prepare.
