I got my dog off kibble 2 years ago and it was the best decision I ever made. I alternate between raw and gently cooked and my only regret is I didn’t switch sooner. No shame to anyone who still feeds kibble though, feed what works for YOUR dog!
I make my own gals food also. My vet told me to use a website Balance IT or Just food for dogs so everything is calculated correctly and there is no chance of too much or too little of something. I have to add powdered vitamins and nutrients and have specific measurements of each food going into the pot. I also cook mine over the stove as to not overheat all the nutrients out of the food. Just a FYI according to my vet is all... not shaming or anything!! Please do not think I am! :) So many different opinions even when it comes to the vets! So confusing!
I am finally transitioning my dog from kibble to homemade dog food. He is a senior now so I know it will best to cook his food at home. I am petrified that I might stuff it up. Thank goodness I can use your videos as a reference to help me help my boy live a better and healthier life
I am also switching my dogs from kibble and canned to real food. I read something that helped decrease my anxiety greatly, and am sharing it in hopes of helping: homemade dogfood is so much better than the commercial dogfood even if we don't do it perfectly every single time. Also, you might be like me and every single person I know (I am friends with super healthy people) and we eat junk food too, sometimes!
I worry about losing nutrients in the fruits and vegetables from cooking fast at high pressure. Instead I use my crockpot low and slow. Does anyone else worry about this issue?
Hello! After watching your homemade dog food recipes, I finally feel confident enough to try it myself! Thank you!! I’d love to hear about the resources that you’ve used to learn about how to create balanced meals. Also, where do you find your beef liver?
??? I am using one of your recipes and my dog loves it. My question is this: I have a 6 quart Instant Pot and I make half of the recipe, although I do use two cups of water. Probably every other time I get an error message from my pressure cooker that pressure isn’t building. Instant Pot replaced my original cooker, but I am having the same issue with the new one. (Other foods cook properly.) Do you have any recommendations??
hey sis I just love both of them they are a part of my life sis thankyou for showing there homemade food you are doing a awesome and wonderful job sisok stay safe and blessed until your next video sis
Hi. GREAT videos. 1st. How much does Bentley weigh. Was just curious how much you feed him in a day of this recipe. Also, have the aller-immune bites been effective in keeping Bentley from responding to his allergies? My boy gets a shot and I hate doing that. Would love to fine a natural remedy to address his paw licking. Tried several things so far unsucessfully.
Hey I watch how you cook your dog food I cook my dog food too I check all the vitamin you said by Walmart I add to my chart so I can buy tem for my dog thanks for sharing
Just found you on RU-vid love ❤ the recipes. My question to you is do you freeze your containers and how long does a batch of food last. I have 2 boxers and they get 2 cups twice a day so 8 cups pre day.
In general my 15-yo girl likes her homemade food, but sometimes she waits til later to eat. How long do you think it’s safe for the food to be out of the fridge?
Can I ask how much ur making this for at a time? Is this a 1 wks supply or longer? I’ve recently switched my dog to a fresh food diet & right now I’m using a home delivery service through Ollie but I want to start making it on my own bc it’ll be way cheaper! I’m paying abt $120/month & he’s a lil 15lb Shih Tzu. I could make this way cheaper on my own & be able to customize it even more than I’m able to now. A lot more.
Thanks for watching!! Are you using a lean protein?? If the protein has a lot of fat it can upset your dog’s digestive system causing the slime on the poop. I try to get the protein as lean as possible to prevent excess fat.
Hi Lexy! Was wondering how much does your big dog weigh and how much homemade food do you feed her? How many cups and how do you figure out how much she needs?
Thank you for sharing with us all your wonderful recipes. But my question is, all these recipes you make in your InstaPot, can they also be made the same way in a crockpot? I can’t afford an InstaPot but I have a slow cooker…pls advice ☺️ And can you make more videos using a crockpot pls?
