Thanks so much Sir, you really speak sense. All organisations in Nigeria needs to reflect and work on how to safeguard vulnerable people within their communities. Children in the film industry needs to feel protected. There should be a transparent process of raising concerns and reporting abuse in place. We needs to protect everyone Victims need to feel confident that they are being listen to and perpetrators need to know that abuse in any form will not be tolerated. Members need and adhere to know the process of reporting when suspected abuse. I live in Uk, all organisations have to have policies and procedures in place around safeguarding if they were to call groups/ societies. We must remember that adult also abuse adult. Therefore eradicating issue like this is everyone business. Let us use the energy and passion we have to see if there is any specific work that needed to be done to educate our men and women around boundaries where dealing with minors or vulnerable person. I am not always comfortable commenting on issues of such as these, but I found it imperative to add my voice, if not for any other reasons but at least for the good work being done by the Yoruba faction of the Nollywood. On the subject matter, there's no sense trying to cover what is wrong. I mean, there is no right-thinking, good, sound and mentally-balanced individual that should be encouraging or covering or supporting child molestation, irrespective of the status of the offender. Whoever does such is an accomplice, and of course should be cautioned and perhaps dealt with in accordance with the law... However, it is very wise to keep silent while a colleague is being investigated for the wrong he or she has done or accused of. It's however, imperative to have a say if and only if one has a or some facts or evidences that are similar to the wrong the suspect has been accused of... a good example is the case of Billy Cosby where individuals who he had previously molested in the past came up and speak out on how they were once victims of the accused...I can't recall if the Hollywood came up to say one or two thing rather they allow the law to take its stand, and of course justice prevailed - well I stand to be corrected. . Words are like eggs that can never be fixed or packed once spoken or broken...well, it's a big shame but not a total surprise that such a thing is happening because the world is driven by evil and seeing justice prevail would be the appropriate measure to containing the spread...

I was been accused for rapist before, and a 14 years girl, beaten and disgraced openly, but one old woman asked them at the scene of the incident how do you know that this 32 years guy rape this lady. Everyone hated me, Judged me, but the question of this woman safe my life. The family of the girl took the 14 years old girl to 3 hospitals And the test confirmed the lady was a virgin, and no trace of penetration. Truly I cried 😭 for wrong allegations, and public disgrace. Well my accusers repented and seek for forgiveness. I would have been in the grave. So many time people condemn innocent people. Because men are behind cameras. Aye le, eniyan soro. Only princess and baba ijesha knows the truth here. Even majority of artist failed to realised what people can do with cameras. Be wise.

If there is going to be proper and through investigation the girl should be question and get some facts about the matter. She should interrogate where her mother will not be there which can only be done by law enforcement agencies then more truth would be revealed. People should stop burning this issue or personalise it. Raping of minor is too rampant in Nigeria and outside the world. I am not in support of abuse of minor but let the matter be thoroughly investigated. There are much to this issue which you and me may not know. The child, the mother and the suspect have to be investigated thoroughly. Then the law shall take it's course. Stop castigating one another, stop sentiment allow the law to prevail.
