Amen! Amen! Amen! I love the love you show for your fallen comrades. My Dad was killed in Vietnam. He was credited with saving 51 people from dying, all while knowing full well he would die to do so. Blood is spilled more often than the regular civilian is aware of. I am so very proud of my Dad, and know full well the cost of sacrifice. He was 26 when he was killed. I was 2 and a half when he died. I grew up without him, and he never had the chance to grow up at all. I now have a grandson who has been named after him...I am so honored my son did that. So many men and women have left us behind because they knew their blood would save and protect us and our freedoms just that little bit further. God Bless them. God bless all of our military members and their families. RIP Daddy, Capt. Steven L. Bennett, posthumous MOH recipient. LOUD AND PROUD of my Dad and all who serve. I'm truly hopeful that these songs are turning the tide for our country. Tom MacDonald, Dax, Upchurch, Oliver Anthony, Creed, Adam Calhoun, and all the others showing their stars and stripes. We have GOT to stand strong, or we are about to lose it all.
Our flag is not an afterthought. It is the child that was born from another flag with only 13 stars. But, that flag went to battle with the most powerful military in the world at the time. And that flag risked many lives to give birth to our current flag, which has gently covered those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that everyone who sees that flag around the world recognizes that it stands for sacrifice for freedom. Not just freedom, but sacrifice. Freedom does not just develop automatically. People have to fight for it, and once gained, they fight to keep it. Respect that flag.
Thank you for your service my friend. It is because of you and people like that we are free and able to live the way that we do. If I ever see anyone burn or throw my flag on the ground, I'm gonna be in shackles like hardy was in "wait in the truck". God bless you my friend and God bless America🦅

Love this song and your reaction! Our family always takes a vacation in a rental home in Florida. We take our kids, they all in their early 20’s and their significant others so we have about 16 people. It was late, we were all sitting around the patio table having a beer and this song came on. Now, my husband, brother-in-law and I do not listen to country but listened to the lyrics and I’ve never seen 16 people download one song all at the same time! Our youngest is 8 (surprise) and asked, “Can I say the bad word if I’m singing it?” 😂❤
my dad was in the army he passed away just over a year ago when he came back some people looked down on him for it but alot of people thanked him for putting his life on the line for our freedoms

Thank you for your service. I have not served, My kids do. If it weren't for our service men and women. There is no way average Americans could go to work, watch TV, eat dinner & put their children to bed as comfortably as we do.
My Dad was a Drill Sergeant in the US Army. That being said I did not serve but I do know and feel just like Dad did. If you can't stand for our flag then maybe this isn't where you should be. Those that gave so much more than me have the right to burn our flag. Not someone that is upset with what PC says we should feel. If you haven't had to sacrifice anything then shut the hell up. I have lost family that I will never have the pleasure of knowing better because of them defending our country. The door swings both ways if you don't like it here then your FREE to leave. A Proud American.
My one problem with this song is the mentioning of General Lee. The top general of a secessionist/rebelling army representing a nation of secessionists. I say this as a Texan, the war of southern aggression is solely for rights to have slaves. The flag of the Confederate States of America is not my flag. As a proud Texan, my two flags equal 51 stars.

Old glory stands for the Constitution, and it stands for all those who gave their lives to protect our values. We served for the people, our families, and for all Americans. But don't try to burn my flag. Television we haven't watched Television in our house for more than 10 years.
If you have to burn a flag you do it the proper way.. you have to fold it and burn it with respect with a salute.. or you can also fold it and take it to the nearest VFW or american legion and have them do it.. im not a vet but im a military brat.. grew up on Army bases for 16 years my dad served.. and thank you for your service
One of the founding members of Sepultura the singer Maxx Cavalera was thrown in prison by the Brazilian government bcuz they had a Brazilian flag with the Sepultura tribal S in the middle of it... I'm a veteran as well brother... People have NO clue what the world is like... I feel the same about that flag... U can argue with me n talk all the shit u want but u burn that flag n u probably won't walk away from it
When I see that flag and knowing what it stands for to thousands of men that has given their all for that flag including some of my family members. And somebody attempts to burn the American flag in front of me there's going to be a fight. And I'm not talkin with fighting with words either
